I also liked Baltarmi's score for the Scream Trilogy...very creepy. Not the worst composer out there.

:o How am I "on your back?" My comment was about the shockingly awful Marco Beltrami, and it wasn't meant in a serious manner, hence the ";)".

Marco Beltrami is an interesting choice. Haven't watched any of the Scream movies in a while, but one thing I do know is that he does all the scoring for TV's The Practice now and it SUCKS! I want him fired! But maybe he was a good composer for the Scream films, I can't remember.

Anyway, John Williams tops this list for me. The film composer; he had a large part in changing and making music scoring what it has become. His scores are the most recognizable of all.

You know. I just found a quote by you in the late T3 official Thread.

Calm down, Vince. DH didn't mean it in a 'serious' manner, he was just kidding, the ;) in his post would indicate that.

Let him speak for himself. And quit telling me to calm down, I'm calm...why is everyone acting like I'm mad. Simply want his reply...cuz it seems like he cant back himself up

Yeah, I happened to like a few of the clips, and, hell, the music worked well in the film, but, when to listened to by itself, it shows how uninspired it truly is.

Simple, everything I say you have some counter-attack against my comments. Ohh, what? did I say something?...yeah dh

First, as I said, it was meant in a non-serious manner, and I never in my wildest dreams thought it'd be thought of as a "counter-attack"...

Let him speak for himself. And quit telling me to calm down, I'm calm...why is everyone acting like I'm mad. Simply want his reply...cuz it seems like he cant back himself up

Sorry, but I already contributed to this thread, and read some people's responses, and I didn't feel the need to come back in, until you sent me the link through AIM, along with cheap name-calls such as "coward" and "f*ckin' hypocrite," so I hope this reply pleases you. If not, I'd rather we continue this feud with PM's or IM's, since I don't want to further disrupt this respectable thread. Sorry fellow schmoes.

Ennio Morricone. No one does better scores than him. Not even John Williams or ELmer Berstein.

Yeah. And I'm FeydRautha with a tube sock stuffed in my pants. ;)

As for the topic... John Williams easy. You got STAR WARS, you got INDIANA JONES, you got JURASSIC PARK, you got E.T., you got SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, you got HARRY POTTER...not only does the man create the most inspirational music out there, he also creates the most hummable stuff.

Thomas Newman and Danny Elfman.

I can't believe no one has said Thomas Newman who wrote the beautiful music to American Beauty, Little Women, The Shawshank Redemption and Road to Perdition. He is seriously underrated.

PS - This must be the fifth time I've posted in a thread with this topic. Give it a rest!
