Creepy mo'fo...and I most certainly wouldn't be seen in public wearing anything resembling his attire!

Jacko's Turning Japanese
By Julie Keller

Michael Jackson has finally found a place appreciates his, um, unique sense of style...Japan.

The onetime King of Pop has just inked a deal to become the inspiration for a line of clothing in Japan. Japanese clothing manufacturer Wakita says it will create a line of suits and formal wear that will be hawked in department stores all throughout the country.

Per the agreement, which was signed in April, Jackson-themed suits and jackets will be available by next spring, with suits priced at about $500 each. The attire will bear Jacko's "MJ" logo.

No word yet on what exactly a Michael Jackson (news)-inspired suit will look like, but Wakita officials say they plan to tone things down from the performer's "wild" stage style, which typically includes Sgt. Pepper-esque military get-ups.

"You know those clothes Michael wears on the stage? They won't quite be that wild because we do have to sell in bulk to regular people," spokesman Junichi Ota tells the Associated Press, which, alas, also means "no glove."

The rep didn't mention the surgical mask thing, but we're guessing it's getting the axe too.

Jackson does, however, get final approval on all designs.

The entertainer has previously licensed his famous self for other products around the world, but this is the first high-end men's clothing line. He'll be competing for space on the racks with clothing lines from the likes of Brad Pitt (news) and British soccer stud David Beckham.

No official word on how much Jackson will make from this venture. The new deal will do little to quell speculation that his bank account is in bad shape.

Jackson recently settled a potentially embarrassing lawsuit that threatened to make his allegedly dwindling assets a matter of public record. And published reports suggest that his mega-fortune, believed to have once totaled about a half-billion dollars, has been whittled away thanks to his free-spending ways, shrinking record sales and neverending legal bills.

Well, if the suits are wicked, I'd buy a couple. :)
