This game is simple. I'll name a cliche that has been done on TV many times. Someone replies with a TV show that had that cliche and names another one and so on. It's easy. I'll start it off.
The main character goes off of work one day to go to a sports game and ends up finding their boss at the same game or is seen on TV

Seinfeld. Elaine is at the Yankee game, and ends up on the sports page.
Biggest cliche of all. Fat, moronic guy has a wife he couldn't possibly pull in real life.
He's dumb, she's smart.

According To Jim

"Growing Pains"
Even though their parents explicitly tell them not to, a kid takes their parent's car & sure enough, they get into an accident their first time out. They try to cover-up the damage to the car by using some lame, elaborate scheme but, ofcourse, their scheme fails & they eventually confess & are grounded....

A tragedy or event that is wrapped up nice and neat by the end of the show.

Is this still a game? Somebody get this back on track. The original idea sounds interesting.

The Simpsons. The episode where Homer finds the dead body. I love the show, but that episode I'm not too fond of.
This usually only applies to anime shows, but:
As the character prepares some HUGE attack, it takes an obscenely long time to charge, and the whole time, instead of getting to safety, everyone just stands there with their mouths open like a bunch of morons.
