Please help me remember the name of this movie!!!

Okay, when I was like 9 years old in 1991 I saw this terribly scary horror movie on television. These people lived in a haunted house. I only remember bits and pieces so bear with me, the only thing I remember well is the fact that it scared the shit out of me and I had nightmares about it for a while. (its NOT Poltergeist)
This family lives in a haunted house. At one point, they see all these spirits walking in their hallways in old clothing from the 1800s. At one point this guy is in his living room and some woman comes down the stairs and its this scary ass demon that attacks him, with crazy afro hair. So all this crazy shit is happening and the people move out. When they are at the new house, the woman is cleaning in the kitchen and she hears a voice talking to her. She thinks its her mother. The voice starts to sound really crazy and evil and she realizes the ghosts followed them to their new house.

Has anybody else seen this? I want to buy it and see if still scares the crap out of me.

Could it be the made-for-TV movie of "The Haunting" (or maybe it`s called "The Haunted"). It`s based on an (allegedly true) book. I`ve read the book but haven`t seen the whole movie - the parts you mentioned are in the book.

Yep, it's called The Haunted - weirdly enough, I had just mentioned it in the 'What Films Scared You' Thread before I read this. :eek:

Thanks...I was pretty sure that was the name of it. I really wish there was a place to buy it. Every time I do a search I get a bunch of shit about that stupid movie with Liam Neeson and Katherine Zeta-Jones.
