It sounded a little spam-esque to begin with, but i think it's all innocent, personally i tend to buy my dvds from www.play.com (http://www.play.com) it's very cheap there and a good selection.

I like www.half.com (http://www.half.com) , you can usually get some pretty good deals there. I bought the Jeepers Creepers DVD Brand New, still sealed for only $11.50, you can't go wrong with that. I was going to buy it in the store for $20.00 but I'm glad I waited until I came across www.half.com (http://www.half.com) because I definitely got a better deal. And I bought the Soul Survivors soundtrack for only $1.99. And at regular mail it took me only 2 days to get the Soul Survivors soundtrack and less than a week to recieve the Jeepers Creepers DVD. I'm very satisfied.

I also get most of my DVDs from play.com - again, no spam here, they're just cheap and have great customer service (I had a faulty Simpsons disc and they swapped the box set with no questions asked and even refunded me the postage for returning the faulty set!)

You know what's wierd? This Halloween for about a month or 2 my local Kmart was absolutely stocked with horror DVD's at the best damn prices I've ever seen! I was buying at least one a week. I bought the Carrie special edition DVD for 9 bucks, friday the 13th and friday the 13th part VI for 14 bucks each, hmm...And...I got the entire Evil Dead series for 9.99 a piece! I couldn't believe it.

I also picked up a collectors edition Sleepaway Camp VHS for 4.99, A Halloween 2 DVD (original release) for 5 bucks...Halloween 5 for 12 bucks.

Anyways...that was about it I think. But I can't wait till next year to see if they hook me up again.

Horror Whore - You got ripped off! I got them for less than that and I'm paying Canadian dollars. I paid $46 canadian dollars and got both (pre-order of course).

If you're from Canada, I get my NEW DVD's from FutureShop.com. Don't buy older stuff there, just brand new DVD's.

For new DVDs, go to Best Buy the first few days it is out for the best price (and even if it's a buck or two more than the cheapest on-line retailer, the instant gratification of watching it an hour after purchase is worth it).

For all other DVDs, go to www.dvdpricesearch.com. (http://www.dvdpricesearch.com.) They will let you compare several on-line store's prices *including* shipping, so you can find the cheapest deal.

I too buy from www.play.com (http://www.play.com) - I like the fact that there is no shipping costs, they send very quickly (and usually by recorded so you have to sign for it much safer)and you can preorder months in advance. Other than that I just look around in the sales. But places like HMV, Tower Records and WHSmith (I'm in the UK) usually charge at least £20 for new DVDs.

www.dvdboxoffice.com (http://www.dvdboxoffice.com) is a really great place to buy DVDs. You can convert the price into your currency so that you know how much it'll cost and they don't charge for shipping. Very cool place-- and they're fast!!

Try www.dvdconcept.com (http://www.dvdconcept.com) guys. I've ordered stuff from there before, and they seem quite good, along the lines of Play.com.

I know that usually Blockbuster sucks, but right now they have a great sale going on. Buy two DVDs and get one free. I bought "Ghost World" and "Rockstar" for $9.99 and got another movie free.
