If you mean Dragonheart(1996) with Dennis Quaid and Sean Connery, who voices the dragon, then yes I highly recommend it...a good solid dragon-slaying tale.

i remember it being really stupid when i saw it in the theater, but it might be worth a rental.

I haven't seen it since it was in theaters, but I remember it being a fun little fantasy flick. I enjoyed the lone man versus dragon theme and Connery was great as the voice of Draco. If dragon-slaying is your thing, it's definitely worth a look.

I saw it a little while after it came out, and was still pretty young at the time, but I remember enjoying it then. I don't know how much I could get out of it now (since by now I'm supposed to be "mature", like that's ever going to happen), but its fun none the less. You could do much worse.

I saw it once in school back in third grade, I liked it. But since then I haven't seen it, but it was pretty good movie.

What's wrong with Draco's design? I thought he had a great design, one of the better film dragons actually. Not surprising though, he was done by Phil Tippet.
Dragonheart is not really a kids movie. Kids would like it though, but hey. It is mostly light hearted (sometimes TOO lighthearted - there are darker edges, and I wished they'd expanded on them. You can tell it originally was a darker film), but has enough dragon and human action to entertain most anyone. It is also quite funny, and Sean Connery is perfect as Draco.

One thing I didn't really get was how Bowen was somehow just a good guy anyways. Can you imagine if, for example, they had a movie character who was travelling the countryside trying to wipe out the last of, say, the Jewish people in a country, but then he realizes the errors of his ways (his problems WERE NOT their fault) AFTER he has almost succeeded, and it's just ok?

If their were dragons alive today, I don't think I would mind someone wiping them out.:)

I loved Dragonheart when it came out. It's great fun but I watched it again a few weeks ago and it does resemble a expensive T.V movie. It's still worth a look. Beware of DragonHeart: A New Begining. I bought that thinking it would be the same but thats a cheapish T.V movie with the guy from Malcolm in the Middle and a baby Dragon.

I personally didn't enjoy it very much, but it wasn't that bad. Ifcheesy isn't your thing, though, I definitely would not recommend it.

Perhaps you're xenocidal, but I'm not.

What effects were bad? There's a reason it was nominated for best effects. I thought it should of won over Independance Day, which didn't have anything particularly amazing or innovative, it just had REALLY REALLY a lot of effects.
