ANGRY JACKSON TO SUE SCARY MOVIE MAKERS

Pop superstar Michael Jackson is so upset about a joke made at his expense in upcoming movie "Scary Movie 3," he's reportedly suing the makers.

Dimension Films, the studio responsible for the spoof flick, is preparing to face a case brought against them by the star, who's allegedly angry about a Jackson-related child sex joke.

According to showbiz website People News, lawyers are in the process of trying to get both the trailer and the ending of the film cut to remove all reference to kids, Jackson, or both.

But media law specialists believe he faces a tough struggle in his efforts to enforce any changes.

Legal entertainment expert Michael O'Connor says, "A lawsuit isn't as easy as A-B-C. Parodies and comedies have a lot more licence.

"If a film is meant to be humorous and that's understood, then most likely it will not be considered defamatory."

Jackson was the focus of a police investigation in 1993, following allegations he sexually abused a 14-year-old boy. The case was eventually settled out of court.

i read this sumwhere and I find it really funny, but not all that surprising. If i were Jackson, I'd try to sue as well. I don't think anythings gunna happen tho. Also, I think Dimension would be retarded if the recut the trailer or movie, everytime I've seen the trailer, the Jackson joke has gotten the most laughs.

But then again, people over at Dimension are fucking dumbasses.

It's a really good looking imitator. But I've seen the trailer a few times, and upon further examination, it actually shows more accurately that it's not him

Did he respond at the time to the scene in Addam's Family Values?

They spoof the scene in The Others where Nichole Kidman finds her daughter, but it's an old lady ("You're mad. I am your daughter.") Charlie Sheen pulls the outfit off and it's Michael Jackson (his current, no nose look) saying he didn't sleep with his daughter or something like that

Spoofing the scence of the movie The Others,
(when Sheen pulls the blanket finding a screaming Michael Jackson look-alike)

-I did'nt touch her I Swear...
- I dont believe you.....
- Please for god sakes, She's A Girl.....

Is it just me, or is this a really terrible quote? Never try to be funny when you're a lawyer.

JCR looks up dictionary to find meaning of the word irony. Ah yes, here it is:

"Person on internet with Derek and Clive avatar asking "Why joke about such subject?"

Do you see?

Come on...I'm referring to the fact that they're kicking a man whose reputation is already in the fucking gutter.

I'm all for distasteful comedy (hence my love for Derek & Clive, Brass Eye, Jam and the like)...and I'm also partial to MJ on Bo Selecta!, but there is a line...and it's being crossed I'm afraid.

He's a fucking bloke...and the joke is extremely personal, and in VERY poor taste. I can see the man being driven to an early grave (not to mention the fact that the joke is OLD mate...OLDER than the hills).

Who did Pete and Dud' hurt with their killer brand of lewd, disturbing and downright offensive comedy?

Well I don't think Lord Longford was that impressed with cook saying he got the horn every time he saw him on tv!

Of course we could talk about Jackson all day and come nowhere near the truth, or end up agreeing about it. However I mean the media like to kick people when they're down, hell it's what they are good at and it's wrong but Jackson has dug his own grave with this- he should have really had the common sense to know telling bashir he still sleeps in the same room as young boys was a bad idea, if only because it wouldn't be too surprising if one of these young boys has the bright idea of suing him somewhere down the line. Jackson also know that:

1. Threatening to sue just caused the trailer to get more publicity.

2. Launching lawsuits at the media will just cause them to kick back harder at him.

And I mean come on, this scary movie 3 trailer is pretty small potatoes considering anyone can go on the smoking gun website and read the testimony of that 13 year old in the lawsuit (I'm not linking to it directly- it's to horrible). Jackson would be best advised to ignore it, imo.

You are, of course...CORRECT.

JACKO should ignore it, but that's easier said than done.

I do think the "joke" is incredibly unfunny nowadays...at least BO SELECTA put a new slant on taking the piss out of the self-proclaimed King of Pop...oh, and the joke is FUNNY, extremely FUNNY.

The film will most likely be pish anyway.

Wouldn't it be funnier with Tom Cruise under the blanket?

Screw them all...
Michael Jackson holds the rank of #1 best-selling artist of all time (even ahead of Elvis), and Dimension Films is a hollywood studio. It's just going to be a battle between two whales -- and nothing will happen. The only regret I have is that it would boost the publicity of a film that shouldn't have been made in the first place.. although I love all of Kevin Smith's projects, SM has worn itself out.
