After seeing FvsJ (quite a movie !!!!) i have to admit that i felt in love with the absolutely gorgeous Monica keena. She could succeed to jamie, neve or jennifer as the new n°1 scream queen and I 'm going to take a look at her career very seriously. What do you schmoes think of her ?

I've had a thing for Ms Keena for a long time now, thinking she was a mega cutie with her roles in Snow White: A Tale Of Terror, The Hairy Bird, and as bitchy Abby in Dawson's Creek. I'm glad she's still out there acting it up, and I can't wait to check her out in Freddy Vs Jason, I have to wait till October. But she's a major hottie, in her movies she never really plays up the whole sex object thing, but as evident from Arrow's fine mistress gallery, she's got what it takes. Me likey.

I think you have to have do more than one horror film to be crowned a Scream Queen. Plus, DWhots is right, she can't act. I thought she was pretty bad in Freddy Vs. Jason, but the movie was awesome.

Oh Damn Right! Her acting was horrible and her makeup artist lined her lips too big and pouty she constantly has this kissypoo look about them but yeah If I was a dude Id screw her once no problem!:p

By the way I can't decide if I like F vs J or not. I liked the fights and the gore but the acting left a bad taste in my mouth and the end title song sucked! I like rock but when the singer sings like he is having a fit like a two year old in the candy isle it irritates me! I also do not see the need for musical artists to be in movies unless of course they can act and I have yet to see any musical artist act worth a damn. I think I am going to get the book, its always better in book form, that way I can imagine the characters as being something worth caring about. I did not care for anyone in the movie let them die big deal you wont get any awwwwws out of me. That sucks though remember the days when you did care about the characters? OH well??:confused:

Oh and yeah Monica did have a good scream but she is far away from being crowned the Queen of Scream!:cool:

The way they had her look was in no way, and I mean no way believible as her being the virgin of the group. I mean she looked like a softcore porn actress. And that scene where (spoiler: she's running towards the lake in super slow-mo holding the torches in either hand) made me yell at the screen.
I loved the movie, hell I even thought that Kelly Rowland wasn't to back, but Monica keena was just eye candy, and for me when watching a character in these films you need a lot more than just that.
And to compare her to the likes of Jamie Leigh seem going a bit too far, Jamie was and still is a great actor and brought simpathy to her characters, that and they became strong in the face of evil.
Even Neve in Scream, you liked her and cared for her in the film because you believed what she was feeling. Only when you care about the characters do you care if they live or die.
Eye candy, sure it's great to have, I'm a guy, I like looking at beautiful woman, but there has to be some talent behind it to make me care. If there isn't, I say "throw them in the fire."

Keena is illegally gorgeous, but she's got a ways to go before earning the "scream queen" tag. She's nothing compared to A.J. Cook (yes, I had to mention her at least once)! And personally, I've never cared for Jamie Lee Curtis.

Although she is quite hot, in no way is she a scream queen yet. Just about any girl in a horror movie can be the scream queen. Although there are f ew that take the cake, there is really only one true scream queen.

how true this is....and after reading steverenos post dealing with AJ Cook I just imagined how cool it would have been if AJ was Lori in F Vs J instead....

but my regular grudge and idea still stands : Katherine Isabelle should have been Lori,and Monica Keena should have been Gibb...or not in the film at all,Isabelle was so much better and I wanted more from her and she could have made a killer Lori.
