Ok, how fucking gay was that that jason was afraid of water? He's gone into water so many times b4, and it's never bothered him, if those stupid movie producers would watch any other jason movie (besides Jason X, which was one of the worst friday the 13th movies ever) they would know that jason has no fear, that was like the gayest thing ever....

Yes, I agree that Jason's fear of water was attracted to a person of the same sex.

Just bc Jason has been in water many times before and he did drown what makes you think he isnt. i mean drowning must be a nightmare in its own. I think deep down he is afraid of water. I mean after all he did rise out the lake at the end. Its like hes scared of it but not. Try to think a lil more geez.

What made it so cool is bc we finaly got to see what he was really afraid of. He was 12 when he drowned im sure the whole experiance must of sucked. Kinda like when women get raped the whole thing will always haunt them. Im not saying rape is good but you get the idea. THINK ABOUT IT

i still say its gay, i mean like, he didnt show any fears in any of the friday the 13th series, and hes gone in the water willingly MANY times, how the hell could he be afraid of a little water if hes walked along the bottom of the lake, waiting willingly for people to kill?

I think that Jason is afraid of water just in his mind, because his mind holds his last memory as an actual human being. I think that, as a part-human/part-zombie figure in F2-4 and as a zombie in F6+, he is no longer afraid of water, as his personal mission was to avenge his mother and keep people off his turf. The "Jason being afraid of water" thing was meant to be just in his mind/dreams as his last human memory, and the point of it was that Freddy was able to get into those dreams of his and use them against him.

EXACTLY...IT JUST ADDS MORE TO THE FIGHT. GEEEEZ SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST NEVER HAPPY. IF WE WOULDNT HAVE FOUND OUT HE WAS AFRAID OF WATER WE WOULDNT OF HAD THAT KIK ASS DREAM SEQUENCE.

As a gay man, I find that incredibly offensive. Where are the moderators on this thread?

Driller, I think that he meant it was retarded..some people use gay when not referring to homosexuals. Anyway onto the reason for my post.
I understand Jason's fear of water, but wasn't Freddy supposed to be afraid of fire? Where was his fear in the cabin at camp?

When the word 'gay' is used in sentence like that, the user is describing something he feels shouldn't be or is messed up. So, by using the word 'gay' to describe it, it sounds to me that the user is stating that homosexuality is messed up and goes hand in hand with Jason being afraid of water.

Yea dude, he did not mean it was gay, he meant it was mentally handicapped. As a retarded user, I am very offended by that. I am sick of people using mental disabilities as insults. Just because I can not dress myself or wipe my own ass or remember my phone number or tuck my tongue all the way into my mouth does not give you the right to put down things by labelling them with conditions I am afflicted with! You bastard!
I thought the movie was awsome but it was gay how he was a fraid of water i mean i know deep down inside he can but there was only that little waterfall at the one part and he was afraid of it but the movie was still awsome

Probably on vaction, sipping Mike's Hard Lemonade. But Driller Killer, I know you find that offense, but I don't think he/she meant it in an offensive matter. So don't take it that hard.
And Lifes_Last_Hope, please don't use that word or any other thing hateful. If you read the rules of Joblo.com, you'll find that no moderator will tolerate offensive crap.
As for the water thing, was I bother by it? No...

oh my goodness.
look, don't say "gay" or "retarded" when what you really mean is stupid. equating "gay" or "retarded" with stupidity is insulting.
end of story.
oh, and the "jason is scared" of water thing was a little weak.

well, back on topic guys, I thought that mayyyyyybe he oculd have been afraid of water when he was a child, and that somehow BECAUSE HE WAS IN THE DREAM WORLD it was hightened. He clearly wasnt afraid of the water at the end of the flick. Maybe it was just freddys dream influence that made him scared of it.

See now that would make sense considering Freddy's this dream master & clever enough to manipulate everyone who sets foot in his world.
