How fucking cool is that? Unfortunately, the extras are no different from those found on the previous R1 release, but I'm buying this sick puppy anyway. Believe it or not, I don't own this flick on DVD! It streets on October 14.

another one, first we had the re released dvd and then we got the special edition with the documentry and now another one! Anyways i like the cover art looks great

the new cover is sweet!! i don't own this on DVD either, although i have wanted to buy it for years. I am glad they are releasing a new edition, maybe it will be cheaper than the 30 bucks they charge for the edition out right now.

Same with me, i don't really want a DVD with a cover like that on my shelf. They should have given us the cover of the U.K Region 2 DVD as well as it's extra's.

Not as interesting as the original cover to the DVD, but it will grab people's attention. What the attention amounts to remains to be seen. Personally, instead of just revamping the box, TRY GETTING MORE SHITE ON THE DISC!!

Unfortunately, it's exactly the same as the original R1, just a new cover. Bummer :(

The cover may be too campy for the film, but...lighten up. It's just something for horror freaks to chuckle at. Personally, I can't imbibe "doom and gloom" all of the time.

Joe Bob Briggs has said that TCM is a comedy, and I'm almost inclined to agree with him -- black-as-the-pit as the humor may be.

I am not thrilled with the cover. TCM is not about that. It is not funny or lite. The new cover is funny but does not fit the grit of the film. i also think it is an extreme case of double fuckin dippin!

Otherwise I think this cover is cute. Like the evil dead book cover, the more creative people get the better. I agree it doesn't quite match TCM but it's certainly something different from any other DVD cover.

I don't own a version yet either, but it's always fun for us cheapskates to wait awhile. Then down the line we can stretch and think, Hm, which one should we buy?

You know what the WORST part is? I saw this cover on another website a bit ago and I thought that it was a joke! This is serious? Ah, man, I definitely like the original-type one that's on the SE that I've got (1998 version, I think). And did I hear someone say that they aren't adding anything (docs, special features, etc) extra to this one? That's kinda weak if you ask me.
