*****MAJOR SPOILERS*****************
When I first went to go see JC I couldn't I wasn't 17(some dumb bitch said she needed i.d.) So I couldn't Then when I heard it was coming out to dvd, from school I went to Holywood Video and rented the last copy! I got home talked my mom and little bro into watching it. The beginning is terrific it really sets the movie up for pure horror.IThe chase scenes were awseome, when we get to the part where you see him dump a body down a pipe I was glued to the screen. The wall of bodies was a sick/beautiful display. The cop's decapitation is the best decap I have ever scene in a movie. When you see the creeper pull out the cop's tongue with his teeth I almost lost it. When you finally realize what the creeper is it doesn't ruin the film, it makes it better. You can now understand that this creature is a ruthless, brutal monster that will not stop coming after you. The ending, wow! take about taking a chance and the chance was the best part of the movie, alot of people say it was stupid but it was perfect you finally get to see what an amazing thing this creature really is.
I give Jeepers Creepers 10/10

I thought Jeepers Creepers was terrific and can't wait for the sequel. SPOILERS BELOW
I like the brother/sister relationship with Darry and Trish. They fought constantly but when it mattered tried to save each other. The first part sort of reminded me of Duel because of the truck and not knowing who he was.The creeper was evil as could be and it was nasty watching him with the cop's tongue. That lair he had was disturbing and the ending blew me away because I didn't think Darry would get killed. It was terrible listening to his screams of pain.

Jeepers Creepers huh? Scary or stupid? Well I say scary over stupid, although it wasn't in generally scary; it was more thrilling and suspenseful. I thought it was great! The neding was a let down however.
7/10 (***/*****).

Jeepers Creepers was a great movie. You can tell I enjoyed it by the name. For some reason though, I'm not as pumped up for the sequel as I should be. It better live up to the expectations set by the first one.

I thought Jeepers, Creepers was awesome...until the Creeper turned into a FUCKING BAT THING. The beginning with the chase scene like the movie Duel was awesome. Then the pipe thing with the bodies was awesome. But when the Creeper started to fly, it got a little retarted for my taste. Why couldn't it be about a crazed mad man who killed? Why the god damned bat?
Altough I did enjoy the ending with the Jeepers, Creepers song.

i liked this movie alot, especially the ending. it was tense, had a semi-original story, and wasn't afraid to have a mean streak. and i liked the brother-sister thing (as opposed to boyfriend-girlfriend).

I liked the movie. The dude screaming at the end was the first time in a long time that a something truely creeped me out in a horror movie. His screaming had that blood-running-cold and sticking-with-you thing going for it. I felt sad for the poor guy when I heard it.

I really liked the movie. The ending was slightly dissapointing, but not enough to take away from the great film.

The original film has grown on me, I will admit.
But I bust out laughing every time the Creeper throws that Ninja star thing at the school bus in the JC2 trailer. Something about that shot just doesn't work for me at all.

I thought Jeepers, Creepers was awesome...until the Creeper turned into a FUCKING BAT THING.
I was thinking more on the lines of a fucking slimy ass turd with wings.
The beginning was great, very suspenseful. However, from the moment Darry decides to go down inside the pipe to investigate down below the church, the film gets stupid.
Way stupid.

Well, it wasn't scary, but definitely not stupid either. I thought it kicked ass the whole way through. I really liked the slow revelation of the different aspects of the Creeper.

I thought it was pretty creepy up to the point where he sprouted wings. I think it was even creepier after I read Requiem's review and he gave his interpretation of the creeper, linking it to Victor Salva's past offence of child molestation.

I'm definatley not a fan of this movie.
The story was ok. Acting wasn't too bad....but WTF the creeper being that bat thing was pretty retarded. The ending was interesting, making ya think it was one when in fact it was the other.
Don't know.....I jes' really didn't like it and the fact that the second one is about to come out jes' kinda pisses me off. Can't we have a movie anymore where there is no sequel?!

I can't comprehend scolding a monster movie for being a monster movie. That’s like hating Friday the 13th because it wasn’t an “alien invasion” flick. Humans are boring, and I'm glad that The Creeper didn't turn out to be some unhinged redneck.

I hated this movie, the opening 20 minutes I thought was good, but the rest sucked balls, because the film in fact sucked balls. I heard, when it came out that this was the years best, but it turned out to be another sick fantasy for Victor Silva, the Creeper was him I thought hunting for another SPOILER BOY so he can get his jollys from, like what he did in Clownhouse.
Sorry for the rambling I just really dislike this movie, but each to his/her own I guess.
cheers

I thought it was OK - I'll probably re-watch it. But I'm one of the 'first half was best' crowd. The brother/sister relationship was quite well done and believable, and the aforementioned Duel-esque feel of the truck and the unknown driver was good stuff.

First half was scary, The second half got a wee bit of the other option mentioned. Still Overall a decent film.

Jeepers Fuggin' Creepers kick all kinds of ass.
It's a monster movie. Straight up monster movie.
The beginning was awesome with the Duel chase scene, and I'll admit it would have been scarier with the Creeper as a human, but it was badass and very nastalgic for some reason when his wings popped out and started eating the shit out of people.
I love this movie.

It was good until a while after the Creeper shed his clothes. And I just hated the ending. It seemed like the song Jeepers Creepers was going to somehow tie into the story, but it never really did. However, JC2 looks promising.

Jeepers Creepers was a great film one of the better horror movies of 2001.
Quick Question, when i brought the dvd at the end when the Creeper has Darry and it is going those passage ways and stuff apprently you can hear Darry screaming in pain but on the dvd you don't hear Darry scream but when you listen to the commentary you can hear Darry screaming, has anyone who has the region 2 version got this problem as well?

I thought it did tie into the story. Wasn't it that he could eat you and assimilate certain parts of your body? Like, Eating that guy gave him the dude's eyes.

That's exactly what I thought - "Jeepers Creepers, where'd you get those peepers?" - Well, the Creeper got them by eating them.

It starts well, with a lot of tense moments, but ultimately lacks something. The storyline is completely arbitrary. Unlike a truly great horror film, like The Thing, JC is saddled with a weak script.

This movie tops my list of the worst movie experiences in my life.
It's so utterly pish, so devoid of any logic, so barrenly unoriginal and downright BAD, that I walked out the auditorium and marched home swearing to myself that I would never again go to the theatre to see a horror movie starring 'teenagers' in peril.
Scream
Final Destination
IKWYDLS
Every one of them is a desolate cinematic landscape just waiting for the bulldozers to come in. (Jeepers Creepers beats them all on account of how it blatantly mistreats the intelligence of the 'unsuspecting' audience).

Personally, I thought it was a great monster movie, and one that I hadn't seen in a long time (the last one I saw was the abysmal The Relic). True, it wasn't perfect (the last half of the movie devolved into a bad 'Outer Limits' episode) but it was unique and stylish enough that I'd reccommend it to those who like monster movies. As for it being stupid, the only thing that makes the movie stupid is Victor Salvas himself. Now before you guys start flaming me about dissing Salvas and being a homophobe, I wasn't big on his past for the most part (I found out the truth just before watching the movie) and the fact that he needs to lose a lot of weight. If you don't believe me, check out the featurettes on the Jeepers Creepers DVD. Don't make me seem insensitive or anything, but the guy's health is put into question when you do your directing from a golf cart.
That's my opinion, you may fire when ready.

The movie had a few good moments but overall wasn't that good IMO.
The good moments:
-When they first see the creeper dumping bodies.
-The police escort part up till the standoff between car and creeper.
The not good:
-The fat psychic lad was annoying and unecessary. "Jeepers....Creepers....." Someone hit her with a shovel.
-The (over)acting from the guy that played Darry got worse as the movie went along. The girl did a decent job.
-The stuff about "smelling fear" and the way the song is thrown into the movie didn't really seem necessary.
-The creeper was cool as the guy with the trenchcoat, hat and axe. When he's naked and gray with wings and a hydrolic head......it wasn't so cool.

Funny that's completely the opposite of what I think.
I liked the "fucking bat thing". "The crazed man who killed"-thing has been done. And done again and again and again. a least they try to be original here. The scene in the police office was pretty cool.
I also liked the fact that they're brother-sister. Not girlfriend-boyfriend. That was kinda original too.
The song really irritated the hell out of me.
I also give it 5/10.

my vote is for stupid....it started out great, but it kept getting worse..and worse...and even worse. but i think the real reason i didn't enjoy it was because i felt guilty for putting money in a child molester's pocket. i don't think i'll be watching another victor salva movie

Stupid. Annoying characters, too damn slow, crappy effects, stupid actions, dissapointing creature. I can't say much of anything good about this film.

5/10? That's like an F rating. You gave a ton of positive reasons, and only 1 bad reason. 5/10? It doen't seem like you have the opposite opinion of mine...lol

Well you see I only liked two scenes. The one with the drainpipe and the one in the pollice station. So that's not really what it takes for me to like the entire movie. The brother-sister thing is a good idea but that's all it is.
So you see I was just focussing on the good points. Because that's just the way I am:D .
Did I mention I really really hate the use of that song.
Btw I didn't write my reply don't IN ORDER to have the opposite opinion.:) It just struck me that on two major points we completely disagree.
Hope this clears it up.
