i just got home from watching jason vs. freddy...after hearing the praises bout this movie from these forums i knew that it was going to be a must see....first off it was awesome to see the man robert englund come back...he was awesome as freddy and it was so nice seeing freddy return to the big screen, especially considering hes played the villian in ALL the movies..unlike his opponent jason...ive got alot of ranting coming along so i would also like to say that watching these 2 duke it out was awesome...except sometimes it felt like watching a kung foo karate movie..i mean when did jason learn to move that damn quick i mean hes a freakin zombie...altho watching freddy doing those humping motions while throwing jason around was classic....and i too had a problem with the water thing...it really didnt seem to fit with the rest of the material presented in the other friday the 13th's....it kinda went against it...and one last thing to say before i get to the main point here...is that when i think of jason i think of a killing machine that kills day and night and dosnt care and just keeps killling...this fucker called jason was just a "night stalker" that killed one person per night..i mean it kinda ruined the killing machine idea....but i need to say that this movie...all the way throughout..didnt feel like the old nightmares or the old fridays....the dream sequences didnt do it for me and they felt so hollywood...its just that it didnt have the feel the others did..and i think the real freddy and jasons have been sucked away into hollywood...it didnt have the original fright and i dont think well ever see it again..altho this movie was somewhat enjoyable with classic moments (the rave scene was kickass, basically with jason doing what freddy did in part 2)...it just felt wrong and felt like i was watching another "the ring" or "wrong turn" or something...the old days of freddy and jason giving us big scares r gone...there through...its sad to say but thats the bottom line
