MGM Home Entertainment are releasing two classic films (which I just now found out about after my other thread) first off is a special edition of Thelma and Luise starring Susan Sarandon, Geena Davis, Brad Pitt, Harvey Keitel and Michael Madsen. Arriving with an anamorphic transfer and hopefully a 5.1 Dolby Digital soundtrack too, extras will include a director's commentary track, additional commentary track with Davis, Sarandon and screenwriter Callie Khori, The Last Journey: The Making of Thelma & Louise featurette, deleted scenes, alternative ending with commentary, original promotional featurette, Over the Edge multi-angle vignette with rare photos and film footage, music video, photo gallery, TV spots and trailers, for the recommended retail price of £19.99.
There will also be two releases for The Great Escape featuring Steve McQueen, Richard Attenborough, James Garner, James Coburn, Donald Pleasence, James Donald and Charles Bronson. first off a DD 5.1 anamorphic two disc edition will include a commentary track with cast and crew, The Real Virgil Hilts documentary, Heroes Underground documentary, The Untold Story documentary, additional interviews, trivia track, stills galleries and trailer, for the RRP of £19.99.
The second version is entitled 'The Great Escape: World Cup Edition' Retailing for £22.99, this includes exactly the same disc as the special edition but includes a 5'x3' St George's Cross flag, Umbro.com: The World Cup from the Tunnel to the Terrace feature with David Seaman, Alan Shearer and others being interviewed, plus a chance to relive the Beckham free kick in the qualifying match with Greece. It also includes a competition to win cup final tickets too.
release date for all three is 13th May I think.
