This guy has always amazed me - and I've always thought of him as the flip side to Ed Wood...unlike the man who wanted to make art and failed, here's a man who wanted to sell tickets and ended up making art instead.
His whole history - from advertising to filmmaking then back to advertising (and then back to filmmaking).
Is this not the perfect subject for a movie????
