I think when girls scream in a horror movie, whether they are being chased, killed, or see something frightning it always helps the scene then rather a guy do all that stuff or a girl to just cover her mouth or gasp....some of my favorite screaming scenes are:
Candy Man...End Spoiler-----------when Trevor's lil ho comes in to the bathroom and sees Trevor has been sliced open and blood is everywhere...she just stands there with a knife in her hand screaming to the top of her lungs with her nipples hard....good scene.
Poltergeist 3.......When Donna comes riping up out of Tangina's body covered in guts screaming the loudest screams I have ever heard in a horror movie...............I use it for my voicemail on my cell phone...hehe.
Night of the Living Dead.......spoiler----when the lil girl wakes up and is now a zombie and begins to stab her mother......it just sounds wicked and her screams sound whiny and have emotion......
I know what you did last summer......When Helen finds -spoiler- her sister laying on the toilet and has been gutted, Helen screams to the top of her lungs and her eyes and face looks so stunned and creepy, good job Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Sally in Texas Chainsaw Massacre........Running through the woods and at the dinner table just screaming the whole time and you can really hear her insanity in those screams as she begins to loose her mind....very effective.......
