...film screenings and re-released films. Im going to attend the Toronto Film Festival next week and plan on seeing Brown Bunny (yup I gotta, the director lived in my town), Underworld, Alien Re-release and some others. Brown Bunny might not be in theaters or video for months... and Alien Re-release is the directors cut so... Im not sure what to do for that one neither.

Hmm...I'd say either General or Current. If you're doing an overview of everything you take in at the fest, a write up of Toronto itself, then I'd say General.

I would usually put up a topic in the Upcoming Movies Forum, reviewing all the movies from Toronto since they'll all be released someday

Better yet, you write them up, send them to scoops@joblo.com or bobmenard@joblo.com (our newsmen) and they actually slap it on the JoBlo.com SITE, for everyone in the world to see...
What say you?

Hey, weeks ago I posted a review for The Fighting Temptations, which isn't scheduled for release until mid-September. Why don'tcha alleviate the public's insatiable appetite for the next Cuba Gooding flick by doing the same?
Of course, I also posted this review on IMDb, so I guess it's not an exclusive anymore...

Yeah, I guess I always thought it was "implied", but for gosh sakes...if anyone on the board checks out a film REALLY EARLY, test screenings or what-not, consider that we do actually have a NEWS section on the site and post all sorts of goodies up there, including upcoming MOVIE REVIEWS. We're no AICN when it comes to "spies" and all that, but we'd definitely appreciate any reviews from anyone who has seen films early. That goes for MOVIE NEWS as well....I've noticed people posting stuff like UPCOMING POSTERS and stuff to forums, but why not email Mike or Bob with the news as well? Tell the world about it, yo!!
For the record, our site's front page is where MOST OF THE HITS go, so that would definitely get the word out more (whether it be a good or bad film)

Ummm, there was the Edinburgh Film Festival (see here: http://www.joblo.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=56880). I know that Edinburgh is a long way away from the USA and Canada but how about something like this, this time next year? :)
