For those of you who have been more than a little patient with Buena Vista when it comes to Tim Burton's superb film, here's some good- and bad- news from davisdvd:
"KARLOFF DID NOT DESERVE TO SMELL MY SH*T!" Buena Vista has finally announced Tim Burton's most underrated (and possibly finest) film, 1994's Ed Wood. Long out-of-print on both laserdisc and VHS, Ed Wood is expected to include a new anamorphic transfer (God help Disney if the weasel out of a 16x9 transfer on this one) and a DD 5.1 audio track. Seeing as how the disc retails for $19.99, don't expect any extras other than a trailer. If any BV film deserved a Criterion edition... sigh.

Man, it's a bout fucking time!
Now if they only slapped a date on it.
This is one DVD I hope comes soon!
Johnny Depp was well cast as the title character, & I was so happy when Martin Laudau won an Oscar for playing Lugosi.

No extras http://www.joblo.com/ubb/frown.gif? Oh well, it'll be enough justto own the film. It's one of my top 5 favorite movies, Ijust loved it. Johnny Depp gives his best performance, as domost of the other great cast members. Very funny, very informative, and EXTREMELY entertaining.

NO FEATURES! I hate those suits at Walt Disney. ED WOOD was such a cool movie and it gets NO FEATURES! In a world where studios are run by people with an I.Q. over 50, ED WOOD would have deleted scenes, a documentary on Ed Wood, scenes from PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE, a commentary from Johnny Depp, Tim Burton, and Martin Landau, a commentary from afilm historian(anyone other than Leonard Maltin), a make-up test for Bela Lugosi, production notes, a making of featurette, a featurette on the hsitroy of horror films, and a documentary on ever yone of Ed's movies. I know this is a lot, but it would be great. I'd pay $50.00 to buy that.
