Chat Forum.

Now, this may sound a little strange, and I know alot of my fellow schmoes will tell me that this is what the chat room is for. But alot of the time no one is in there.

How about a forum on the site where you can talk/ask questions to fellow schmoes... when you can't go to anyone else about them. I think it would be cool, it's sort of a form of PM, but it will actually attract people so you know exactly WHO to talk to about certain things. Good idea?

Whan was it around? Were there insults flying left and right or something? Was it as moderated as it is now... did the communtity respect eachother as much as they do now?

Problems with the Misc. forum:

-It was more popular than most forums put together (that's a bad thing on a MOVIE board)
-Some threads were ridiculous ("Do you like my hair?", "How can I dump my boyfriend?")
-People tended to say more off-color, rude things in the Misc. forum
-THIS IS A MOVIE BOARD


Ways to get to know your fellow Schmoes:

-the Chatroom (I think we can make it really popular if more Schmoes knew about it; knew that other Schmoes would be in there, and if it was more advertised)
-E-mail
-Private messaging
-AOL
-MSN Messenger
-ICQ

I agree Nate. But that's what I was saying... it's so hard to promote these things... I do my best though. I'm in there quite frequently. ;)
