Anyway... Bale is my second choice... Very fine actor and DEFINITELY has the body... My first choice, however, it Jake Gyllenhaal. Not only is he dreamy, but he's really got that dark spirit about him. Something in his eyes, I think.

jake gyleenhaal looks too much of a pussy as batman...if i saw him in the costume id laugh and spit on him...he isnt a bad actor just NOT MADE for this role at all...

bateman on the other hand is another story.

Yes, Bale can do any role, he just amazing. If anyone wants to compare to drastically different Bale roles, see All The Little Animals and American Psycho. If im not mistaken both movies were made 2-3 years apart and in All The Little Animals you would swear hes no more than 18 but in American Psycho he seems 28-30.

Hmmm, I just don't like Bale as an actor, but right now I can't think of anyone else that could be Batman, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. If he does get cast, I hope to change my view on him.

The only two possibilities I can imagine are Bale, and Jason Patric. Since Bale is in the running and Patric isn't, he gets casted, I'll be happy as a pig in shit

There's no hell in way that a Batman movie would suffer from a performance by Bale, however the script and directing...:o

I don't know. From what I've seen I just don't think he's that great of an actor. But I will be seeing Laurel Canyon soon as well I plan on renting Equillibrium some time soon. Hopefully those movies will change my mind.

BTW, I'd much prefer Guy Pearce or Billy Crudup as Batman. I'm not sure about Pearce anymore but upcomingmovies.com reported that Crudup is in the list as possible Batmans.

Give me Crudup over Bale any day.
