Fan Fic section

I'm sure this has probably been asked before but how about a fan fic fourm where we can all write our own stories scripts etc.

Yes yes yes! a FAN FIC SECTION WOULD BE GREAT the other forum is very unappealing, and there more like games then screenplays.

I agree. I'd love a fan fiction forum. Sure, there's the Filmmaking/Screenwriting forum, but that's for SERIOUS screenplay writers, and for people to recieve constructive criticism, whilst F.F. is for making a long story, developing ideas introduced in real films, etc. I think it'd be SPECTACULAR if JoBlo made a trial F.F. forum.

On a more serious note, I'd think the FILMMAKING forum is fine for fan fiction -- meaning that if you want to post fan fiction in the forum, then it'll be more than welcome and I'm sure people will be ready to read it, criticize it, debate on it. But it is true that the forum isn't as easy-going as most fan fiction writers would like it to be, most of us in there are aspiring screenwriters, wanting to make it our actual fulltime occupations, and I must admit I'm not sure fan fiction will blend in fine.

So I don't know...I think it'd work either way for me. If people want to post fan fiction in the FILMMAKING forum, it's welcome. But if people want an actual Fan Fiction forum, then I think it's also a great idea, and I'll be contributing my best to it, of course. So I'll be fine anyway here.

On a sidenote, if making it a full forum doesn't work for JoBlo, maybe we could make it a subforum to the FILMMAKING forum, like the TOURNAMENT subforum in the MOVIE GAMES forum, or the particular Upcoming Movie subforums in the UPCOMING FORUM. I'm not saying I'm gagging for more power (*wink wink*), but if that's a practical option, then I'm sure Psu and I can take care of the addition just fine.

While I thought that the filmmaking forum
would be cool for short stories, poems,
fan fics, or whatever, I don't see how it would fit, as well, its a filmmaking forum.

To keep it real, my screen writing sucks ass, but when I write, like a short story,
it comes out better.

A Fan fic forum would be mucho cool.

Another thread I wouldn't mind having would be a 'Nothing' thread, you were basically post nonsense and other things that don't have to do with movies, comics, books, sports, video games, and music. Stuff like real life.

We did. It was called the MISC. NON-MOVIE TALK forum. Bantering,craploads of childish games and a suicide threat ensued. It was shut down(and for good reason).
