Best Star Trek film

My favourite is Star Trek II but the best is Star Trek IV

Star Trek II with it's terrific mix of comedy, action and tragedy is the BEST Star Trek flick.

Though Nemesis and First Contact come pretty close IMO.

here is how I would rank them:

6. The Search for Spock
7. Insurrection
8. The Voyage Home
9. The Motion Picture

I haven't seen The Wrath of Kahn, so I voted for Generations. However First Contact was also really good. I haven't seen Nemesis yet either.

Of the 6 original series Trek films, The Wrath of Khan is the best. Of the 4 TNG pics, First Contact is the best. Both those films did the best job of capturing the spirit of their respective series(Interestingly enough, both films also involve the return of characters first introduced of the shows).

Having said that, my all time favorite Star Trek film is Galaxy Quest.

I picked The Voyage Home. I still don't understand what's up with The Wrath of Khan and why everyone says its the best in the series. I was bored throughout the entire thing.

Agree with therealjohng, I found part 4 to be the most amusing and thought Khan was pretty boring.
