View Full Version : Best film trailers
2 of my all time favorite trailers are the ones for Psycho & Frenzy mainly because I love how Hitchcock describes the goings-on in those films.
I also love the trailer for The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly(even if it does wrongly identify Lee Van Cleef & Eli Wallach's respective characters).

Pearl Harbor. It was an awesome trailer, and a flat out BAD movie. Too bad.

Just what ThereWolf was gonna say, the trailer was great.
With music from The Crow and The Thin Red Line. And Roosevelt (Jon Voight) saying those lines; "December 7th, 1941. A date which will live in infamy!"
The trailer was actually in some ways more touching and poignant than the film itself!

Episode 1: The Phantom Menace
Has the distinction of being a lot more exciting than the movie, one of the best trailers ever produced.
Dark City
It does so much just with images, and a haunting score, and is simply one of the best trailers I've ever seen.
Catch Me if you Can
I've never seen the movie, but just seeing the trailer is enough. It looks so fun and energetic, yet I've never been in the mood to watch it

All those, but let me add the trailer to Mel Gibson's upcoming THE PASSION. I mean, there's virtually no dialogue, and the couple of lines that are actually in it you don't understand, but it just sends chills rolling down my spine each damn time I watch it.

The Best Film Trailers this year are ... "Kill Bill: Volume 1" and "Wonderland".
But for all time I think the Trailer for "Magnolia" is amazing.

Pulp Fiction's trailer:
"MIRAMAX IS PROUND TO PRESENT...THE FILM THAT WON THE GOLDEN PALM AT THE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL..."
Cue gunshots and a rapid fire trailer full of dialogue and images.
