The date i have been hearing for this flick on dvd is December 30.

This is the only cover art released so far, which leads me to ask... Are we going to get an Unrated American Wedding (just like the first 2 films were released Unrated and Rated)

I hope we get an Unrated edition. This movie was very funny.

I was a little disappointed by the film but I have the other two on DVD so I'll buy this.

there will in fact be 2 seperate versions: the R rated version and the Party Edition!

Thanks to DAVISdvd.com:

The final piece of the "Pie," Universal's American Wedding comes to DVD on January 2nd, 2004. As is the way with this series, there will be a slew of different versions released. Look for separate anamorphic widescreen and pan & scan R-rated theatrical editions, as well as Extended "Party Editions." Each will come with English Dolby Digital 5.1 and French & Spanish Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround audio tracks. Stay tuned for extras. Retail will be $26.98. Also available will be the American Wedding Gift Set featuring the Extended Party Edition bundled with a bonus disc titled American Pie Revealed. Retail on this is $39.98.

I loved this flick, and while it wasn't as good as the original, neither was #2. I will be picking up the "party edition" when it comes out.

I enjoyed the film.. It is the best one IMO...

However, I am not sure if I will pick it up mainly because I don't know if it has a lot of replay value.. We shall see...

Just in from Universal Studios Home Video are the full specs for American Wedding, the capper to the American Pie saga, which will debut on January 2nd in no less than five different configurations: anamorphic widescreen and full screen versions of both the R-rated theatrical cut and the Unrated Extended Party Edition, plus the deluxe American Wedding Gift set.

Extras on the R-rated cuts include an audio commentary with cast and crew, deleted scenes, outtakes, the "Speaking Stiffler" and "Jim & Michelle's Wedding Video," "Grooming the Groom" and "From Script to Scene" featurettes and production notes. The Unrated edition includes all of the above plus allows you to watch the R-rated cut via seamless branching and throws in the bonus "Inside the Dominatrix" and "Inside the Bachelor Party" featurettes. Racy! All also include ROM extras including a weblink to the American Wedding Total Axess portal, to be launched on street date. Retail is $26.95 anyway you slice it.

Those who just can't get enough pie can also opt for the American Wedding Gift Set, which retails for $39.95 and includes the widescreen Extended Party Edition plus a bonus disc, American Pie Revealed. Similar to the Jurassic Park box set, this bonus disc will only be available in the Gift Set and includes additional behind-the-scenes and making-of material on all three Pie flicks. Yummy!

I will most definitely be buying the American Wedding gift set the day it comes out. Not quite as good as the first two but still a very strong third outing. Can't wait to buy it.
