I've seen a trailer for it about a year ago.....for some reason it never got released or we didn't get it locally.

It was a crazy ass action movie, with a ton of SFX. Fighters would face off and each of them had differnt weopons that were all fookin nuts......think Mortal Kombat and Shaolin Soccer combined.

I wanted to know the name of this movie. Any help would be great.

I think there are several oriental movies that could fit this description. Can you give more details?

I was reading up on IMDB.com and this sounds like it could be. Did it ever release in the US or did it get canned?

Did you see it? I don't know about the US, i know it was released here in Spain before summer, but it was generally ignored/despited by people and critics. I haven't seen it, though. It looked too fantastic for me.

Could be ZU, which had a limited run in the the states or Stormriders.

Indeed, as other have said Legend of Zu/Zu Warriors (they kept alternating the nam but they ended upusing the last name there) sounds the most realistic. I don't believe there were ever any trailers for The Storm Riders here simply cuz they never planned on releasing it theatrically. Also, Storm Riders had a bunch of SFX, but the Zu trailer had a LOT of SFX in it, and lots of different weapons. BTW: Zu Warriors is a remake of an earlier film called Zu: Warriors from Magic Mountain or something like that i believe.
