Which "Once Upon a Time in..." movie do you prefer out of these choices? For my money, Once Upon a Time in America barely beats out The West, but tower over the competition

"Once Upon a Time in America" is one of the best movies ever made, and, like you said, "Once Upon a Time in the West" is up there, too.

My vote goes to the West., but I'm wondering how Mexico got on this list of classic movies. The worst movie of the year.

Not saying it's a classic, but maybe there's some schmoe out there who prefers the Rodriguez route rather than the slower paced, not as action packed approach Leone took

Close call for me between Once Upon a Time in America and Once Upon a Time in the West, but I went with the latter.

Although MEXICO was fun, and WEST a magnificent western epic, I went with the ultimate ONCE UPON A TIME saga.....AMERICA, baby!
What about ONCE UPON A TIME...WHEN WE WERE COLORED?
And WTF is MIDLANDS about?

...THE WEST. Great western, possibly Charles Bronson's best performance.

I'm disgusted that Mexico is almost as high as America and West. Seriously, America and West are some of the greatest filsm ever, but Mexico will be forgotten by next month.
(HINT: Everytime you vote for Mexico, Johnny Depp loses a chance to win Best Actor.)

Mexico was cool, I just wish RR would make it a long epic. In my opinion,I think America is the best film of the 1980's. West is one of my all-time favorite films. I have never seen China,I would love to.

I know you don't like Mexico, but why would you think this? It's not like it'll split the vote with Pirates

I just watched Once Upon A Time in America, and was going to post this same thread. Then I remember to use search.
And while America is brilliant, it didn't have the impact that West had on me. Still, I'm now officially naming Sergio Leone as my favorite director.

Well, Once Upon A Time In America in my top 10 list of all time and Once Upon A Time in the West in my top 20. So it's America but i was watching West yesterday (i bought the DVD) and it really is a tough choice which was better with production.
In the end i'd say this:
PERSONAL FAVORITE: AMERICA
BETTER MOVIE (i.e. cinematic importance, type of casting, set design, music, direction, everything): WEST
