WHAT THE FUCK?! (http://toosquare.com/news/print.php?sid=11)
(EDIT)... granted, euthanasia is a VERY serious cause that has been fought over for a very, VERY long time.. I, however, feel that this concert is complete bullshit.
I'm sure there are people here (or somewhere!) who would disagree with me.

Publicity stunt, but a dangerous one. I would guess they will not be able to get away with this. At least not here in the states.

If I wanted to kill myself, I'd just attend a Celine Dion concert.

I fully support the plight for the legalisation of euthanasia...but this is fucking bonkers.
SCUMMY publicity stunt through and through...bloody horrible story.

I don't think this is a good way to bring attention to this very serious issue. At a concert setting it'll seem more like a circus spectacle. That's if it even ends up happening.

There is so much potential for a witty remark here, but the truth is, should this go ahead, I for one (a proud supporter of euthanasia) will condone it as vociferously as I know how to - by paying not a fucking blind bit of attention. Stupid and idiotic, the man or woman in question will be no martyr. Instead he/she will die without all the elegance and dignity of a martyr, and become the kind of bullshit marketing device for a thousand million other vocal groups with nothing but desperation to get across their message. If it works, they will still have lost.

We all know it's a publicity stunt. Apparently so does the city of St. Petersburg. But they did the right thing by stepping in and quashing it.

Out of curiosity, I went to the bands website.... and had a fucking heart attack.
Seriously, it's now my mission in life to have all the members of this band (and anyone stupid enough to like them) receive a shot-gun blast through the knee caps.

Why did you (almost) have a heart attack?

You've heard the rumours about stuff that Marilyn Manson does during live concerts for shock value? Well, there just rumours, thankfully.
That band takes it to another level, and have pictures on the site to prove it actually happened.
The things there I won't even mention, I'll just say that they are illegal in almost every self-respecting country. And if you are an animal lover such as myself, please do everything you can to boycott this band.

I was just checking. I'm not even going to visit the site now. Sounds like some pretty sick shit.
