Could it be true? Could we finally get the holy trilogy on DVD late next year? If so, that's great news!

It would be about bloody time. I really can't understand why George hasn't done it yet. He's bound to make a killing.

Sounds too good to be true... and there lies the problem. I don't think it's going to happen. At least, not next year that's for sure. I don't think Lucas will ever release that damn trilogy of his. And even if he does, it's going to a very long time before it happens. He sure is taking his precious time....

I care less about WHEN it arrives than HOW. If the original versions are not included I won't be bothering with the box.

thats pretty much how i feel about it, i dont think id get a set unless the original films were included until the price got lowered
also, Lucas stated he wouldnt start on the boxset until finishing the DVD for Episode 3 so it wont happen next year, or for the next 3 years in my opinion

Even if it was a late 2004 release, my tapes would still have another year of damage to them. I watch the trilogy once a week. That's 52 times a year and vhs just isn't cut out for that.
