I don't know if this has been done before, but here I go! I know not all of these are complete yet, so you'll have to go by how good you THINK Revolutions, Return of the King, and Episode III will be.

Although my all time favorite INDIVIDUAL movie is The Matrix. I believe Lord of the Rings will be the best TRILOGY (although Matrix trilogy will also be very good).

 I hate when people put 5 Star Wars flicks in these polls then tell me I cant put Alien 1-3.

Well I vote Alien 1-3, followed by Jurassic Park, then Mighty Ducks!

Also they havent released most of the these sequels.

I would also put my vote on the Alien trilogy, for me itīs evn more of a trilogy than Matrix wich basically is just 2 movies, but the second one lasts 4 hours so they cuted at half.

From the list the best one is the Indiana Jones trilogy, by far.

Movies that were planned to be trilogies and that couldīve been great but were never made

- "Crouching tiger, hidden dragon"

- "Unbreakable"

Other: The Apu Trilogy (Panther Panchali, Aparjito, The World of Apu)

Of your poll, The Godfather would be it for me.

From that list, The Godfather. But Rings and The Matrix shouldn't even be up there regardless since they haven't even completed the trilogies yet. Yet Mighty Ducks is snubbed?

The Godfather Trilogy, by far.

No. As a trilogy, Star Wars is the stronger of the two. Whilst all three pail in comparison to the first Godfather film. The third Godfather movie is horrible. Empire (9/10), Jedi (9/10) and Star Wars (10/10) are all good, Star Wars even on the same level as The Godfather Part II. The Godfather and Part II techinally better than Star Wars? Yes. A better trilogy as a whole? Not a chance.

Star Wars Episode III, The Return of the King, and The Matrix Revolutions are already out? Cool! :)

The best is probably the Godfather Trilogy, but my personal favorite is the Indiana Jones Trilogy.

"The Matrix," "Lord of the Rings," and "Star Wars 1-3" should be removed from the list.

My choice? Kieslovsky's "Trois Colours" trilogy.

The Godfather trilogy.

As many problems as the third film has, put all three together and you have one of the most important and influential series of all time.

LOTR, Star Wars(original), Indiana Jones and The Godfather are the best trilogies...nothing else really comes close except maybe The Terminator films.

I gotta say the "Back to the Future" trilogy mainly because the rewatchable factor is high with these films. Sure, The Godfather movies are excellent, but lots of times, I'll flip by it if it's on tv because I don't feel like watching it. I'll always watch a Back to the Future movie if it's on.

I voted the original Star Wars as I can watch those three movies over and over and never get tired of them

LOTR, Star Wars Prequel, and Matrix shouldn't even be listed as they are not all completed yet and how can one vote for any of those without seeing the final installment? Biased opinions wanted?

I get the biggest kick out of Star Wars or The Die Hard trilogies!

None on the poll, but my choices are The Terminator trilogy followed by Romero's Dead trilogy, and the Evil Dead trilogy.

I'm still getting used to the Terminator as a trilogy. It's been a duo for so long now that it's kind of hard to believe.

But that would probably have been my choice had it been on the poll.

Lord of the Rings.

Godfather Part III is the only thing bringing that trilogy down...and I adore both LOTR movies sliiiiightly more than the first two Godfather flicks.

i think it's way too early to even mention lord of the rings, the matrix and the star wars prequels, those shouldnt be considered for another ten years at least.

thats the problem with society these days as far as entertainment goes, too many people wanna deem a half assed movie a classic cause ity made a ton of movie at the theatre or cause it won a oscar .

Star Wars (original) - probably my pick
Star Wars (prequals) - don't like a lot, it's more special effects and less story
The Lord of the Rings - didn't see the 3rd so...
The Matrix - just saw the 1st
Back to the Future - The 3rd was pretty dull even with a lot of work in all of thoses 3
Indiana Jones- probably my 2nd pick
Austin Powers - I like the 2nd, the 1st & 3rd annoyed me to death
The Godfather - probably my 3rd pick but i'm not a fan of thoses movies, I enjoy more the 3rd than the 1st two!

I voted for Godfather, but for me it is all about the Terminator trilogy. Yes it was never intended as a trilogy, but neither were most of the options. Granted T3 was not as good as the first awesome classics. But it was still pretty good, and did a nice job of continuing the series.

I'd say it's a toss up between Back to the Future, Night/Dawn/Day of the Dead, and Evil Dead. But if Blade III can do the business, then that would probably be my favourite trilogy.

Completely agree with Hollyhood's comment: "thats the problem with society these days as far as entertainment goes, too many people wanna deem a half assed movie a classic cause ity made a ton of movie at the theatre or cause it won a oscar . "
