I cant wait for this one to get released. I'm already almost done with Angel S2, so I guess I'm gonna have to dig back into the earlier seasons until December. Maybe I'll start with Season 1. As far as the cover art goes, IMHO it's the worst cover art of the seasons released so far. What the hell is Dawn doing on it anyways. Granted she was a key charachter, but there a more importat, less annoying charachters they could have chosen.
Region 1 really are getting a raw deal with Buffy sets, not ony have you had a longer wait but the UK r2 sets have been coming out in widescreen (as they were shot) since season 3. The extras are the same. Personally I'd fork over the extra cash and get the widescreen sets.

I like this cover art. Similar to the R2. And of course Dawn would be on the cover. It's her season basically. Just because someone doesn't like her doesn't mean she shouldn't be on the cover of the season that was 'hers.' -_-
I hate the S4 cover. If Willow wasn't on it, it'd be okay. It should have been a cast ensemble, or had Riley (despite being a dork).

Actually...you are wrong. I read an interview with Joss Whedon in SFX magazine where he expressed both surprise and concern about the UK releases being widescreen. Apparently he shot Buffy with the traditional TV ratio in mind and never intended it to be reframed for widescreen. After reading that I decided to invest in the US releases rather than the overly expensive UK box sets (almost twice the fucking price...their taking bastard liberties). The only episode that was shot with the intention of it being shown in widescreen was the musical episode "Once More, With Feeling".

I love this cover-art (HUGE Fan of (in best Drusilla voice) Spike)
I will be getting this first day!
Buffy season 5* has one of the best dvd moving menus ever imo. It's a bit creepy. :)
(*Well the R2 version does. Doubt they'd change it for R1 though)

No commentary for The Gift?!?!? WTF?!
Oh well, I'll still definitely get it. I do wish there were more features though, it'd be good to see some outtakes. Oh well, at least Season 6 will have them.

I may pick this up, even though it's the weakest season. I own seasons 2-4, and those are the only ones I'd call "great T.V."

Gotta love backhanded statements. Way to be passive-aggressive.
Anyways, it wasn't Dawn's season. Dawn was there, I don't understand why she was there, but it certainly wasn't hers. That season was supposed to be the last and it was about bringing things full circle. It was about maturing Buffy and making her finally accept her role as the leader. Dawn was just something thrown in to give the show a little new life.

I do not like the cover art i think the r2 one is better, but it does have some god special features on it, the same as the region 2 one.
