It really is a year for Tarantino DVDs
Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Reservoir Dogs are all coming out in August in 2-disc special editions and now this one!!
This looks like its great year apart from Argentina not qualifing for the next round! http://www.joblo.com/ubb/frown.gif
But a great year for Tarantino fans thats for sure!!

It mentions on that link that it's an unrated directors cut anyone have any ideas what this means? The current DVD is a director's cut, so what's more than a director's cut?

oh and Argentina deserved to go out because they were beaten fair and square by David Beckham.

hmmm, i have no idea what the difference is between the directors cut and the unrated directors cut... We'll have to check the running time to compare.

no, the directors cut on the normal disc is unrated already. its the same thing.

In the words of Bill Hicks (sings)
There is a god, he loves us all so much.

Seriously. I've been after this disc for an age. It'd better be loaded with extras including (please) all the deleted scenes hinted at in the trailer.

I just want an audio commentary trak with Tarantino on it!!!
Plus of course the deleted scenes.
I think they mean the same thing: unrated director's cut or maybe Tony Scott is gonna do something to it now and release it on DVD who knows?
What i do know is that Michael Owen faked that penalty. Fair and square it definately isn't.

I doubt there will be a commentary by Tarantino, he didn't do one for the new Special Editions of Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction or Jackie Brown, and he didn't like what Tony Scott did with his script. We should get a Scott commentary though. As for the Director's Cut label, my DVD version had it, whereas my VHS version had Original Cinema Version printed on it. I think they just want to make it clear which cut you are getting, I doubt anything will be added to the film itself.

I just hope that the alternative ending when Clarence dies is added to the specs.

unfortunately, they didn't film it. it was part of a plot thread that was unresolved from Reservoir Dogs. it sucks Tarantino doesn't do commentaries, but as long as there are enough features to substitute for it, it should be fine

I believe it WAS filmed. I think Tony Scott shot both to appease Tarantino, and tested it both ways. At least that what I have heard. If it was not filmed it will (hopefully) be included by way of storyboards as the alternate ending to Se7en was.
