Picked it up tuesday, and so far love it. I think I like Dre's The Love Below much better, although I haven't listened to Speakerboxxx half as much. The creativity and enthusiasm is incredible, and the lead single, Hey Ya! is one of the best songs I've heard all year. She Lives in My Lap, Happy Valentine's Day, and Spread are some more of my favorites.

On Speakerboxxx, the first 5 songs are great, especially GhettoMusick and the single, The Way You Move. I'm not likin' the more general stuff like Last Call, which I actually hate, and Flip Flock Rock with Jay Z is nothing special. But overall it seems pretty solid.

Any of you heard this yet? What do you guys think, which part do you like better?

much like their other albums, at first it doenst sound like anything special, but after a few listens, you begin to appreciate it a tad more. And well im still listening to the cd's and trying to get a feel, i like Andre 3000's cd more.

Damn! This album is some incredibly funky stuff! I've been scanning through both albums. And from what I've been hearing, I think both kick ass! Big Boi's is lots of fun to listen to; Andre 3000's is fun too, but it's also very creative and artistic. If I was to choose between the two, I'd probably give the upper hand to Andre. Very impressive album, thus far (still have several tracks to listen to)....

As seperate discs they're ok but why split up in the first place? They had such amazing chemistry groups like Mobb Deep could only dream of, they were the perfect yin and yang.Overall disappointing.

I've been a fan since the great Stankonia, and this one certainly doesn't disappoint. Very unique, funky, lots of soul, rhythm and just plain hip-hop, shake yer ass, bring the amazing beats and arrangements music. Gotta love it. Unlike anything I've heard and one of the best of the year.

Best Album of 2003.

I just bought it, and I'm so sad I missed out on getting it when it first came out.

Speakerboxxx is much weaker compared to The Love Below (Which is so damn brilliant).

Love this album. Love, Love, Love it.

I haven't seen the new music video yet, so I'm hoping to catch it on MTV tommorow.

Anyone here seen it yet?

WOW, just saw the video, awesome stuff.

Here it is: http://mp.netscape.com/video.index.adp?mxid=1128806&refID=007190&partner=&_AOLFORM=w597.h395.p7

I love the 1950's setting, the only problem with it is that there's not a whole lot of the actual song. Other than that, I love what they did with the song.

Hopefully it becomes as big as Hey Ya!

Get it. I was hesitant to buy it, and I must say, having just bought it days ago, I'm in love with this album. It's unlike anything I've ever heard before.

Cameos galore in the new video, which was fantastic. The song is another great Outkast song. These guys are amazing. Lurve their stuff.

I'm just hoping that Roses gets as much radio play as Hey Ya!

In other words, I want them to overplay it. Better to be sick of something than to never have heard of it.

I usually never get sick of their songs. I still like to "move it" when I hear Hey Ya! played on the radio. Roses will most likely be another Hey Ya!

Hell, I'm starring in a play where I have to dance to the song, this Friday and Saturday (All schmoes in the Ohio region who want to drive down to Cincinnati to see it, just PM me for directions).

Then right after the line "Shake it like a Polaroid picture!" I have to spank another guy.

However, I must admit, that sounds very Lynn Minmei-ian.

VERY Lynn Minmei-ian.

I'd check it out if I were in the Cincinnati area just to see if you will enjoy it.

I dunno if I'm exactly enjoying it. I still have to live with the fact that awkwardness has a new name for me.

Dizamn, I haven't heard Roses on the radio too much. Where's the airplay? It's the latest freakin' OutKast single! HELLO!

Meh, maybe it needs a few more days on the MTV rotation. By next week, the song should (hopefully) be much bigger.

I got it the day it came out... both CD's for only $10 total, what a great deal!

"Roses" has been my favorite song on both CDs since it came out, so I'm glad that it's getting some airplay now. The lyrics are great, as is the new video, I love the piano solo at the beginning too. Unfortunately the single version of the song is nowhere near as good as the 6-plus minute album version.

Benny, that's true, but alas, if the single makes someone buy the album, then it accomplished its deed.

I was underwhelmed by both discs, although I think they are decent hip hop albums, just not much more.

But "Spread" is definitly the best. Andre plays to his strengths here and the chorus is simply divine.

can't resist ya sexy ass so spreeeeeeeeeeeaaad, spread for me!

Genius.

You can't forget the car sound, then doors opening, then zippers, then "Ooo!" in Spread either.

I personally like Andre's album better than Big Boi. Andre is obviously the "unique" half of the duo, and his CD is alot funkier than the "standard" hip hop of today, which is a bit of what Big Boi's CD sounds like, whihc is OK, since he's the more rap rooted of the group. Andre plays with a lot of different genres which is cool. I love to see acts liek OutKast, The Neptunes and Missy Elliott(don't jump on me cause I know there's a lot of Missy haters here) who are breaking the mold of hip hop, which is becoming a bit too stereotypical and boring. It's not all about cars, clothes, guns, and partying, which are four ctaegories the hip hop of now can be placed. In the "Old School" days(before the new millennium, when it really went mainstream) it was about telling a story or having a unique approach. Now everyone is just saying the same thing, just over a different beat.

I don't know anyone who preferred Big Boi's over Andre's. Dre is a GENIUS.

Big Boi's is not good at all, The way you move was not a great song. Hey Ya is.......Andre's is brilliant.

I like The Way You Move (Then again, anything OutKast is okay to me), but you have to realize that Big Boi had a short time to make his CD, and he managed to churn one out in time for the release.

Not perfect, but it's still good. Not Love Below-quality, but it could be so much worse.

What do you guys think of "I Can't Wait" (The track from the Barbershop 2 Soundtrack feat. Sleepy Brown)?

Personally, I like it, because it sound like a lost song from The Love Below.

Woo, OutKast won two awards last night at the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice awards...Not anything I care about or prestigious, but still, an award is an award!
