Just beat me to it Kaufman...

Jesus, strange news. 54 years...bloody odd...!?

I'm sure Mr. Palmer will now be surrounded by plenty of ladies in see-through black blouses and stiletto's...strumming geetars in a blasé fashion.

R.I.P dude.

The British star is best known for his hits Addicted to Love, Some Guys Have All the Luck and Didn't Mean to Turn You On.

I think I'll post here since this thread was thee first one on the boards......
Every music lover grew up w/ Robert Palmer cause I sure did! "Looking For Clues" was the first music video I saw of Robert long before hit big w/ "Addicted To Love". I Also like "I Didn't Mean To Turn You On" and the stint he did w/ Power Station "Some Like It Hot", & "Bang A Gong (Get It On)"...
Rest In Peace Robert, I will miss you....:(

Im at a loss for words. This is very, very tragic.

I was a HUGE fan of his, I was a kid during the heyday of MTV, and Robert Palmer was THE FUCKING MAN. Who can deny his uniqueness. Aside from his great solo career (the early part of which I am not very familiar with), I particularly loved the band POWER STATION, which included members of Duran Duran. They did a fantastic cover of T-Rex's "Get it On", but a personal favourite was "Some Like it Hot". Awesome music. Sad news.

I've been at work a lot lately and I didn't find out about his passing until now when I checked the music forum. I'm almost ashamed of myself for not finding out about it the day it happened. I haven't heard anything on tv about it. He was one of the artists I listened to when I was growing up.

RIP Robert
