Hey Schmoes!
BRAVEHEART is my favorite movie, and I bought the classic DVD here in France. The problem is...there's virtually no bonuses at all on it. So I'm wondering, does an edition of the DVD exist that has bonuses such as a director commentary, a making-of, interviews and so on?
Thanks.
I have a region 2 copy I bought in Scotland. It's a 2-Disc SE in the clear plastic case with a cardbooard sleeve.
Has a couple of decent extras: Commentary from Mel Gibson, and "Mel Gibson's Braveheart: A Filmmaker's Passion" documentary. As well as the usual menus, scene access and trailer.

The Region 1 has those same extras.

Doesn't sound like a whole lot of extras to be a 2-disc SE...
Yeah, they should have a lot more stuff on there. Not quite as bad as the Raging Bull "Special Edition", though :| at least there's a commentary.

Crap, my favorite movie and it doesn't even have a single good bonus...
Besides, a feature commentary by Mel Gibson would have been GREAT! The guy just would keep me interested for three hours.
I wouldn't recommend getting the UK R2 DVD anyway. It has about 30 seconds taken out of it in total- cuts for violence- from various points in the film to get a lower rating at the UK censors.
