Those kick major ass! And considering that some of the original novels did have a dark theme to them...I doubt he'd be that surprised. Maybe a little horrified...but they would be the equavelent of his novels had they been written today with dark themes...

ok i love all tod mcfarlins stuff i collect movie maniacs and spawn, and i dont have anything against gory toys but wizard of oz come on you have to draw the line somewhere. Taking an american classic and having dorthy be molested by sick fucked up munchkins is just sick. The Wizard Of Oz is supposed to be a nice wholesome family movie and it is one of americas most beloved films ever, and should be kept that way i think these toys are very distasteful, and should not be sold, why should't they be sold because little kids see the movie go to a toy store and see the lion gutted and dorthy halve naked, and beaten by sick munchkins. what are they supposed to think of the movie. Maybe i blew this out of preporsion but i think there are things that should remain nice, friendly and holesome.

Hey POOP, have u ever read the original books by any chance? Those were pretty dark. The film version we're all familiar with is different from the books because it's so happy. Ever wonder why the Tinman was made of tin? Because he was a regular schmuck who was enchanted by the witch and he started lopping off body parts that were replaced with tin....not kid material at all! Return To Oz is closer to the original books in feel and atmosphere...so these toys are not so twisted when u think about it.

Ok, Your right not kid material but im not talking about the book. Im sipply saying i think that it ruined the Oz name with sick demonic figures. Its just an opinion.

And you are fully entitled to your opinion my fellow schmoe. I actually was terrified by the first oz movie. Judy Garland looked WAY too old to be Dorathy. And those munchkins scared they ever loving hell out of me. The fact that the movie made the whole oz trip exactly that(a trip) really ruined it for me. And everyone so relentlessly CHEERFUL my God! So I actually like these toys. They're not nearly as scary as what I saw on video. Maybe do an Oz remake with these toys? Just a thought.

Yes they are absolutely fucking beautiful - but , in regards to Dorothy, I'm a little pissed at Todd McFarlane for raiding my closet.
And did I get any kickbacks?
Percentage points? Pff!

I wish I could afford to fly anywhere. I can't even afford the taxi back from town tomorrow night that would be required for me to have a proper night out. :(

The Tin Man's my fave.
Second fave's The Scarecrow
Third's The Lion
Fourth's the monkeys
Fifth's the wizard
Sixth's Dorathy.
Dorathy looks EXACTLY the way my Barbie dolls always wound up.
