What is this movie?

I can't remember the name, but its about a boy who disappears while he is swimming in a pool, and his father thinks that he is stuck in an alternate dimension within the house. I do remember one scene where the father is in the bathroom and he opens a cabinet and there is black abyss on the inside.

The movie "House" comes to mind. It's about a father who does actually lose his son to a alternate dimension within his house, and he goes through a lot of weird and goofy supernatural shenagons.
