INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS (1978)
Starring: Donald Sutherland
Brooke Adams
Leonard Nimoy
Jeff Goldblum
Veronica Cartwright
10/10
**MILD SPOILER**
FANTASTIC remake of the 1956 original. Director Philip Kaufman does an incredible job of conveying the intense paranoia amongst the characters. The acting is top-notch throughout. The special effects are pretty good. Denny Zeitlin's score is extremely creepy. And the ending is one of the most horrifying I've ever seen. Definitely a must see!

It's great. The film has one of the best endings in cinema. This film is a treasure to me.

Which remake are you referring to? They're both up to par, but Kaufman's version is immaculate.

Sorry I prefer the Ferrara's version, more atmospheric.
I like atmosphere, it is important for me.
What about the version that starred a very naked Gabrielle Anwar and a not so naked Forest Whitaker? I thought that movie was decent enough. I now hear there's another remake in the works due out either next year or the year after.

the 1978 one starring donald sutherland is a great movie, good acting in it that makes you feel like your a part of it.
But I think the 1956 one starring Kevin McCarthy and Dana Wynter is the better one.

I really like the 1978 remake and refer it to the rest of the films. The atmosphere is great and so are the characters. It has a true feel of things breaking down from the inside. Great film!
The 1978 version scared the shit outta me when I was little.

Spoliers!!!!!!!
The original had the worst ending ever. It should ahve ended with guy screaming on the highway but instead the national gaurd takes care of everything. huh!!!???

I never saw the original but Kevin McCarthy who was in the first one has a small part in the remake.
How's the remake going to fare if it gets made at all.

The original is among my favorite films (love that symbolism), and the remake (whichI thought I would detest) was a really enjoyable film, with great acting and plotlines. Not as good as the original, but among the best remakes.
