Anyone see this!? Its some classy shite, I tell ya'!

John (badddass) Cassavetes plays a doctor investigating the victims of a serial rapist with a giant...ermm.. well, yeah...

I'd hate to make it sound trashy, but its not so easy.. The subject matter is handled as well as it can be and there aren't exactly any gratuitous scenes..

I thought it quite cool.. In fact, i'm willing to forget the fact that John Hough went all Kill baby, Kill! on our asses in the last fifteen, or so. ;)

We're thinking of either the 1965 or 66 Incubus, Claw. That one DID have Shatner in it.

Havent seen the one Romero is speaking of.

I consider this film as a supernatural slasher.
I own it because of the good review in Hysteria ( site devoted to the giallo/slasher genre )
It was sometimes creepy, well directed and overall good acting.
Not really gory ( just one scene in fact, the guy who's killed with the shovel )
Pretty good and a dark, somber ending ( this extreme close up on the eye, brrrr )

Not only that, but he is the greatest musician whoever lived. He sort of record "The Transformed Man" or some bullocks sounds kick ass.

As for Incubus, its an 80s film and supposedly fairly decent supernatural fare. I have wanted to see this for quite some time.

See because I haven't seen this or Xtro all the way thru ( have only caugth bits and pieces of both) I get them mixed up!!!

Now was Incubus

*SPOILERS*

The alien from space that just came from his 'ship?' Xtro was the alien that birthed it's way into this world from a helpless teenager, right?
See, I get them mixed up!!!

You must be thinking of a different flick... Incubus was all about witchy stuff.

and I've been DYYYING to see XTRO. Seriously, at this point I'd give a few pints of blood

Um....hm. So was the 66 version. I wonder if the version you're talking about is a remake!?!

There's a German 2-disc special edition DVD including 3 (!) versions of Xtro.
I didn't give any blood but paid $15 for that set :)

I must admit that I envy you there. I saw the sequel to Xtro and wanted to see if the original would be as good. Its out of print around these parts (at least on VHS) so I can't get it yet.

Ok, I am really confused. I could have sworn Incubus was about a monster that starred JOhn Cassavettes (spelled wrong) I even thought I had read a review on it many years ago talking about a 'monster.' What the f?

There is a film called INCUBUS from the late 70īs thatīs staring
John Cassavetes, John Ireland and Helene Hughes by John Hough

Itīs about an alien that rapes and kills people.

Thank you MadmanMARZ, I thought there was this thing that went around all horny. But that seems to different from what Romero was decribing. Well, no matter. Now I know I am really not insane and there was a movie like that.

Incubus is an alternate title for two movies--one of them being the John Cassavetes movie, the other being an alien/horror movie starring Stephanie Beacham and Judy Geeson that showed up on SciFi channel a couple of years ago.
