He has made his great return..........OR has he?

Director Christopher Nolan has taken over the series and has cast Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader. Nolan and David S. Goyer will co-write the fifth installment, which is said to be based on the script Batman: The Frightening, featuring The Scarecrow as the lead baddie. The movie initially was to be based on Frank Miller's graphic novel Batman: YO, a film-noir-infused, four-issue story written in 1987 and published by DC Comics that detailed Bruce Wayne's first year as Batman, including the self-doubts and blunders he had to overcome in order to emerge as a full-blown crime fighter.

ummm. this might seem like a stupid question, but why would michelle pfeiffer be in it. Wouldnt this take place way before batman returns?

So wait a minute... then this is just another sequel then? It's no longer a prequel.

If its another sequel then why hire a younger actor, granted Bale is what? 30? That's still younger then the guys who donned the cape before him.

Now I'm having some trepidationa bout all this. This info seems like it could be refuted later on. I'll just have to wait and see.

I wouldn't worry too much just yet if I were you.

Besides the casting of Bale and the names of the writer and director there's no concrete news about this movie whatsoever. The story's all speculation, and the rest of the actors' names are all rumors.

Chill people.
