Cutting Class: Cheese at its best

Who also likes this super cheesy slasher from the late 80's ?
It features Bradd Pitt, Jill Scholen ( she's hot !! very likable !! ) Roddy MacDowell, a good cast.
This film is fun but sometimes it is a bit too much like the man who doesn't want to die ( the father of Jill Schoelen ) or some murders.
The murders are varied but not gory, the acting is not too bad, good mood, energic, no nudity but seeing Jill Schoelen in Pom Pom girl is enough for me, good for the eyes.
You also have black humor, galore.
It is one of my guilty pleasures, for sure.
Not a great slasher but worth seeing, the kind of movie you watch with some friends.

Very cheesey but highly entertaining, the lamest part is the loser guy who thinks he is a pyscho, even though he is, i bet brad pitt denies that he's even in this movie

Cutting Class is cool. It wasnt as cheesy as I thought it would be. For some reason my brain always groups this movie together with Return to Horror High in my brain.

This film is the better of the two.

So what? Who cares? I don't mind that Jill Schoelen was 27 years old and playing a high school student!

Cutting Class was pretty damn bad but I have to admit that it threw me off. I was expecting Brad Pitt to be the killer. The other guy just seemed like a red herring but they made it out that way on purpose. They played with the fact that the audience would probably write him off as not being the killer and did the predictable instead.

I also like Roddy McDowall as the perverted principal. This role is a far cry from the desparate teacher he played in Class of 1984.

The ending was great fun but too bad the preceeding 75 minutes were pretty fucking boring. And what was with the father?! He spends the entire film trying to find his way out of a fucking marsh. Then he just so happens to run into Jill and Brad at the end and they all act like it's nothing major. He doesn't even seem too surprised to hear that the man who shot him with an arrow and left him for dead a few days earlier had just been murdered. He's more concerned with why his daughter isn't in school. Of course I realize that at this point the movie wasn't meant to be taken seriously any way.

At least this was better than Curse II...

The more 80's slasher films I watch the more I wonder why they made so damn many of them since the majority of these films suck donkey balls. This one is no exception, the acting sucks, the kills were pretty dull and its just flat out boring for the most part. I still laugh whenever I look at cover art for this film though and see Pitt's mug on it, since he doesn't even play one of the main characters. I wonder how many people have been fooled into renting/buying it thinking he is :p.
