View Full Version : Putting Huge Pictures in Threads

Yeah, this may sound sort of lame, but I had no idea where else to put it and it's definitely a complaint.
Why can't people who insist on putting photos in their posts edit them to a normal size so they don't mess up the page alignment? I mean some of this stuff is poster-size. I end up having to scroll to the right for three feet of picture.
Just a small but heart felt whine.
Now, back to your regularly scheduled forum-perusing.

Well I ocassionally do that. But 99% of the time I do try to find just ONE nice sizable pic to use. I do go ooooh and aahhh when some schmoes go buck wild w/ the pics. :D

When you link to a page (the only way pictures are shown), you can't change the size. I always try to find pictures of a relatively small size, but sometimes you just can't.

DM speaks the truth. And not to mention someone like me doesn't know how to edit pics in the first place, so few options are left

Page alignments notwithstanding, I'm sick of those huge pics (especially those pointless duplicates in the "quote" posts...WTF!) because it takes forever for those fucking pages to load!

The pictures usually don't bother me so much, as opposed to people who have to re-post the picture as a quote, because they found it entertaining. Next thing you know, you have 25 pictures of Adolph Hitler wearing GAP khakis all the way down a thread. (See the actors GAP rant).

Exactly...I actually usually enjoy the pictures. However yes it's irritating as hell when people include the pictures over and over again. Deleting of the picture from the quote of the post is actually quite easy.

I've sent Private Messages to people in the past, asking them if they can edit their post because of similar things.
Everyone is pretty receptive with it. One guy replied with "Booyah! And a big picture of a guy getting ready to give someone a Hi-5."
Haha. I just made up all of that. There have been 0 instances where I've Pmed someone about editing their posts. I was hoping to coax you into an alternate solution. I hope it was helpful.

Alas, but group therapy as witnessed can be very theraputic.
