LONDON (Reuters) - A British war hero, said to have been the inspiration behind secret agent James Bond, has died aged 90, British newspapers reported Wednesday.

I thought it was worth mentioning. I'd never heard of him before, but from all accounts, he was a true hero and a great man. And hey, he lived to a ripe old age. We get an eternal film and book character, he has a good life, and he saves thousands of lives. Win-win.

RIP my good man.

"I'd never heard of him before, but from all accounts, he was a true hero and a great man."

Of course you haven't heard of him...he wouldn't have been much of a spy if you had.;)

Actually, he British newspapers are paying a glittering tribute to this fine gentleman, and, well, if I had to go, being remembered this way would be just fine with me.

Have a martini on me, chap. So long...
