View Full Version : The Damn Mooses!!

Is any one else getting the two Moose from Brother Bear talking about disrupting the movie for others? Goddamnit! I'm so sick of that shit. It's blatant advertising for Disney (who really doesn't need to advertise their moives). I mean, when they're on screen they're saying the movie they're from. How rediculous is that?
Every movie I've been to in the past 2 FUCKING months has this stupid advertisement saying that we should shut up during the movie. We know already. Seriously.
At least give me one of The Bride telling people to shut the fuck up or she'll slice your head off.
Is any one getting this shit?

They also do a very insulting, stereotypical Canadian accent, eh?

That's why they rule.
Rick Moranis should sue, though. If only they were putting lab mice into beer bottles...

I rather see the shameless plug of the moose characters than the current Fandango ad with the talking paper bags any day. :D

Strange Brew with Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas was one of the best movies ever made.
The Canadians should embrace their culture instead of worrying about stereotypes. There's a stereotype that says all American's are Assholes. Shoot I see that stereotype embraced everyday.

When I clicked on this thread I expected to see a rant about how they are Canadian Moose and they talk like Canadians eh? Turns out I was wrong all around. The only thing I've seen before a movie, other than commercials and trailers, is that stupid set builder guy saying 'dont steal our movies'.

We don't get that any more. We just get the moose.

Who said, "I hate Meeces to Pieces"? The plural of moose got me thinking about that- some old cartoon and it is going to drive me crazy! The moose trailer doesn't look funny at this time.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Rick Moranis deserves and Oscar. He got snubbed horribly for his work in Schindler's List.

I SAW THEM!!!!!
Yeah, tonight before Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
But heres the best part, the entire time they were on screen, there was no sound. Thier mouths were moving, but the sound wasnt working. I was somewhat spared tonight.
Also, I dont know if they have different ones, but this one had a moose answering his cell phone and then walking off screen. Luckily I didnt have to hear the stupid dialouge.

Only problem is, it's actually Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas doing the voices for the moose.

Well there goes their multi million dollar hopes down the drain...
I guess Rick Moranis needed something to get his ass off of grub-stubs... especially after starring in "Big Bully" with Tom Arnold.

I'm sick of the ad telling the audience to shut up (people should already know to do so already. If they don't, they should just stay home and rent movies or something). I found it to be somewhat funny the first time but now I find it grating.

I have seen these Mooses also, when I went to see Kill Bill vol.1 they were there just before the movie started. They frightened and confused me, why were they there? To promote their new movie Brother Bear of course (seems like a cheap-way to promote ones movie right? I mean its Disney, anyone will see it).
I hope I don't come into contact with them again, one of them used a Moblie-Phone (or Cell-Phone or whatever they are called these days). Do Mooses use Phones? I guess they do.

Ohhhhh, so these two pieces of shit are actually from a film? I was at the cinema the other day and then randomly these two asshole mooses appear and tell me to turn my phone off?! It was nightmareish. I suppose it makes a little bit more sense now knowing they were from a movie, but at the time it was just "what the hell" gibberish!?!? .... They're moose .... they're cartoons .... and they're saying to turn your phone off ..... oooookaaayyyy .....

I saw it over the weekend.. and those two Strangebrewers were really funny in it. They weren't annoying in the movie... I thought it was a good Disney movie overall.

They do that shit for the adults who take their kids to kiddie movies. Some adults cannot stand kiddie movies but for the love of our children we take them and we sit with them like the good parents that we are. Disney knows this, that is why they put some mature or past pop culture elements to the film. The kids just think what a weird funny talking moose when the Adults get the punchline and remember what it is really from. It is some tatic to make the adults feel like they belong or are included or some shit like that. They appeal to both adult and child and that to them is more ticket sales.
