Lately almost every movie I go to features celebs with those porcelin veneer teeth ( I think that is what they are). The teeth are so white they are BLINDING and at times look like chicklets gum. I know of no one in real life who has teeth like the teeth I'm seeing out of Hollywood. I think it's distracting from the story.

The only answer i can give to this is remember the Friends episode where Ross enwhitens too much his teeth and dates a girl who's a fan of neon lights. Hilarious :D

I personally find gleaming white gnashers a HUGE turn-off...
Ewan McGregor has a perfect set of pearly off-whites IMO...a bit of fucking character kids.

Chicklet Teeth? Hehehe, that reminds me of Dennis The Menace with Walter Mattheu when Dennis replaced his dentures with chicklet gum. Funy stuff!

Bubba, why are you scared? I am disappointed that Hollywood is no longer content with the way natural people look. I'm not against a little tooth whitening but some of the celebs teeth are so bright that you can't think of anything else but their teeth.
Movies are supposed to be about real life and many actors over the years have gained or lost weight, made themselves dishevelled etc, for a role, but now they are getting plastic surgery and having veneers put on their teeth.
I saw the interview with Courtney Cox and David Arquette where he wanted to put it into their marriage contract that she never has plastic surgery. Pretty funny. Plastic surgery is OK with me, by the way, if it is for something corrective like nose or chin etc., but it often looks weird and unnatural when it's done to defy aging. a fifty year old woman who has her face tightened will NEVEER look like thirty again- and often it just makes them look strange. Super ultra white teeth also look unnatural, IMO>

Just because it's one of those things I'd never even really thought twice about. I'm afraid what else might be out there.

I don't mind American movies stars' gleaming teeth except when it's anachronistic. I don't want to see cavemen and Olde English peons showing off the latest in dental hygiene.
