I'd like to hear Schmoe opinions on this series, here's mine.
SNDN- 9/10 This is a great slasher movie that looks even better on DVD, the kills are cool, some nice nudity and I love the idea of a guy killing people dressed at santa "Naughty!"
SNDN2- 6/10 Well I liked this one, but for all the wrong reasons!
I hate the fact that most of it is flashbacks from the first, this is explained on the commentary by the writer + director. Apperently the producers told them to re edit the first movie and relese it as a sequel (WTF) but after awhile they agreed to let them shoot their own story around it. The acting in this is hilariously bad. Eric Freeman who plays ricky REALLY over acts and his shitty one liners don't help much. I love the scene where a girl sees him killing a guy and she says "YOur crazy" then he just looks at her and she goes "Uh oh!!!" you have to see it to know what I mean, also the scene in the cinema and the road shooting carnage is hilarious!!!
SNDN3- 6/10 While is a much better movie then part 2 it's still a little bit slow and way to bloodless at this point I can't remember it to well though, sorry.

I loved the first one, but can't honestly say if i've seen them all. I know i've seen part 2 but it's been so long i can't remember it. 3,4, and 5 are ones i have no idea

I like the SNDN series but i dont think ive ever seen part 5.

the first one is a great bad movie. the second one kicks ass just for the "Garbage day" scene. the third and fourth are two of the most annoying crapeatign movies i've ever seen. and the fifth one is so bad it's great (like the original) so those are my thoughts on the films and you care not at all!

Doesn't one of the movies have the first killers' little brother become the second santa killer? I could be mistaken because I don't remember these. Must go to the video store, or just wait until the Christmas horror movies come on sci-fi channel or something.

I got the DVD with part 1 and 2 on it over the weekend. Looks great. I went through the extras, and there is this extra where it shows a bunch of clippings of the oputrage from when the first movie came out.

The only really interesting thing in this was a quote from one hollywood actor who said (paraphrasing here)

"whoever made this film should be run out of Hollywood"

That statement was made by none other than Mickey Rooney, who went on to have a role in SNDN 5: The Toy Maker. I thought that was funny. Not "ha ha" funny, but in an ironic sort of way

I think I've been looking at the same DVD it looks a good buy Ive been interested in these films for ages but living in the UK have struggled to find them but now i have playusa.com :) I'll think I'll wait a bit closer to christmas though can't wait this and a UK black christmas release :) its gonna be a good christmas!

The only one I've seen is SNDN 5, and it was laughably bad. I rented it back in the day as a kid when it was "cool" to rent anything horror related from the video store.

I was thinking of buying the SNDN two pack but decided to hold off in case they released a box set. Has anyone heard such news? Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Parts 1&2 are cool slasher flicks that I enjoy immensely
Parts 3&4 are crap
Part 5 is so bad that its good
