I just HATE when Cable Stations let movies run during commercial breaks...

I know that this topic on what I am gonna RANT about has been brought up or mentioned MANY MANY times.....
I tried lookin to no avail but here it goes...
I just HATE when cable stations when they break for commercials...(grrrrrrr)

So when the movie comes back on, I just think to myself, HEY! I remembered during the car chase scence they went down these stairs wasnt shown. :confused: I know its all about trying to trim the length time so the channel can finish on the hour or 1/2 hour but when these channels are skipping over vital/classic scences, it ruins the moment of the movie. Double curses!!:mad:
Since I don't have HBO, Showtime.....
I enjoy any movie that I get on DVD/VHS from my public library. :D

That doesn't bother me as much as something that happened last night. Spike TV advertised airing BEVERLY HILLS COP uncut, with parental discretion advised and the whole she-bang. Five minutes into the movie, and all the nasty curse words (shit and fuck) were edited out. Uncut, my ass.

I was watching Monty Python's Flying Circus on the Comedy Network (Cdn) and the Lumberjack Song sketch came on. Just before he says "I never wanted to be a barber anyways..." the fucking channel cuts to a comercial, only to return for the credits!

No Lumberjack song?

I was watching MTV2 and RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF EVENESSENCE "BRING ME TO LIFE" THEY GO TO A FUCKING COMERCIAL BREAK!!!!!!!!!! I mean the song was only on the second verse! What the HELL??????

but there are a lot of things I hate about cable broadcasts and this commercial thing is one of them...

I hate it even more when films are edited. BTW it's getting worse, it used to be only words like shit, fuck and sexual explicit words were censored. Now it's like everything above the word Hell is censored or even worse dubbed. Just look at the new Scarface Bonus DVD feature "The Edited T.V Version" to see what i mean. Classic lines like "How'd you get the beauty scar though guy, eating pussy?" had the word pussy dubbed in an enitely different voice to "pineapple".

I HATE when they dub over bad words. That's worse than censoring them. And they cnesor the stupidest things. And commercials run every five minutes!! So you come back and you have noe idea what's going on, they've cut out so much. ARRRRRR! I hate everything!
