probably a topic that has been discussed in the past, But:
When i am waiting in line for a movie, and the theater i am waiting for lets out, and the people see the line, and they yell "Dont waste your time, that movie fucking sucked"???
Why the fuck do people do that? Do they actually think that im going to go "Holy Crap, ive wanted to see this flick for 6 months, but i think i may just go home because That fat fuck hated it"
NOONE FUCKIN CARES WHAT YOU THOUGHT OF THE MOVIE! All you are doing is making yourself look like a dumbass. I dont know who you are, so why would i listen to what you have to say about a movie??
That shit just really annoys me

i agree with the rant, but i feel where there are just some cases when an eception has to be made. like with house of the dead. i had to sit through it, but that doesn't mean that i shouldn't try to stop someone from wasting their money on the worthless piece of trash. now i understand that shouting out in a rude manor isn't the best way of going about it, but if i hear someone saying to their friend or whatever, "hey, what's house of the dead?" or something like that, i'm certain that i'm going to say something to them. but for the most part, i agree with that rant.

I agree. Like these people think shouting their opinions is going to change anyone's mind. Very annoying. And a few times, they decided to give away the ending to the movie in the process: "The movie sucks! The whole thing was just a dream!" (not a real case, but just as an example.) I really don't like people who are very loud with their opinions in public.

I could just see something like that happening with "Star Wars (VI): Return of The Jedi (not that it's a bad movie) back in 1983:
Dude walking out of theater: "Darth Vadar is Luke Skywalker's Father!" (like nobody doesn't know this "twist" by now anyway)
*People in line get out their Tommy guns and shoot the bastard down*

That actually happened in a Simpsons episode. Homer was walking out of "The Empire Strikes Back," and there's a shitload of people waiting in line; he just blurts out..."Wow, I can't believe Darth Vader was Luke's father!" Hilarity ensues!
But yeah, I agree with the rant. Especially since most of the people who hang out at my local theatre are a bunch of fuckwads who wouldn't know a good movie if it kicked em' in the nads. If it's a movie I've been looking forward to, I usually dismiss such comments. (Several people have told me at school how bad they think Kill Bill looks, but it still kicked ass.)

Yeah, I'm aware of that "Star Wars" reference on "The Simpsons." That's what made me think about it. Anyway, as far as people telling me how "bad" the movie is, even right there at the theater, it means nothing to me. I like to think that I am open-minded and tolerant with movies, because I end up enjoying them a lot more and find more redeeming values. No matter how bad a movie looks, or is said to be, I'll still go and see it for myself. I even saw "Gigli" despite all the negativity towards and decently enjoyed it (yes, I said it).
However, I have an opposite type of incident to tell. Last year, when I saw "Death to Smoochy," I asked one of the people from the earlier playing of it how it was. He said it was funny...yeah right! "Death to Smoochy" awful! So awful, it almost brought "death" to Robin Williams career (thank goodness for "Insomnia" and "One Hour Photo").

ya... if someone is at a video store and they are trying to decide on renting a movie, if i have seen it, ill tell them what i thought. Everytime people are very nice and receptive of that. A few people have asked me some of the movies i have enjoyed to get a good example of what im into to see if they wanna listen to me.
But walking out of a crowded theater to a big ass line of people waiting to see the movie you just saw, and yelling to every1 "Yo that movie was so fucking shitty, go get some pussy instead or somethin" its annoying. And i thought of this thread right before i saw KILL BILL, because some guy did that, and it has always annoyed me!
Noone did it the week after for Texas Chainsaw though...!

But if I am not really totally invested in seeing the movie, and someone warns me it's a stinker, I will be appreciating the advice. I will probably ask another exiting movie goer just to make sure.
I usually do my homework before seeing ANY movie (that's how I started coming to this site) so I will be aware of the criticisms and the praise before I even go- I still like to hear what others think, though.

I was queuing up for The Ring when these asshole kids walked past and said the film sucked, so I grabbed one of them and power slammed him and then quickly took up smoking just so I could put my cigarette out on his face. Stupid little shit, his friends were stupid little shits too but they were too fast. Maybe one day I'll see them again and I'll stomp on them, and then tie them to a railway track for lying because the film didn't suck at all. I went with my brother but he thought the film DID suck so I drove home while he was in the bathroom and I never saw him again. Little bastard, how dare he contradict me.
So yes, I agree with this rant. People who have voice boxes are assholes and I hate them.

When the theater we were waiting for let out, the woman asked EVERYONE if they liked the movie, most everyone said they thought it was fucking horrible... so the 2 woma just left! i had never seen that before! So in this case it worked out ok... it got 2 annoying bitches out of my way!

Usually I would never do that but when I came out of both The Order and Eyes Wide Shut I had to make the horror stop and tell everyone how horrible it was.
But now I see I was wrong and have learned my lesson.:( :D

Nice try, Greb, but I have to actually hear somebody yell out for my blood to boil ;)
They can talk amongst themselves. They can write it all down to their heart's content. But as soon as they feel the need to yell their two-word critique for an entire crowd of people to hear, and if I'm part of the aforementioned crowd:
MY FOOT + SHOUTER'S ASS = BUSTED SPHINCTER
P.S. I'm exaggerating. I'm not a violent person, but I would roll my eyes and make an agitated face :D
P.P.S. KILL BILL rocks the Casbah.
