Celebrity Keepers/Keepees

In one of my usenet groups, they have what are known as celebrity keepers (the celebrity being the keepee). Basically what it is, is that you pick your favorite celebrity/ies and if you have any information, news, gossip etc about them, you post it to the group. Of course, if anyone else has such news they can post it as well but if you claim the celebrity before someone else, they're yours unless someone wants to trade.. I was wondering if anyone of the Schmoes would be interested in doing something similar. I don't know offhand how we would keep a list of the keepers and keepies (possibly post it in the Celebs Gossip section?)

DO you mean having a main thread on a given celebrity? And any news reported would go under one?
A similar plan was brought up a couple of months ago, the idea did sound good but the down side is, the pacing may get confusing in the long run.

I don't mean having one thread per celebrity but if people were interested, there could be one thread listing who has which celebrity and if anyone wanted to trade, they could either do it there or through pm. This would be more of a fun topic, allowing people to claim "ownership" of a certain celebrity . It might help people contribute more; any news would still go under the proper groups (e.g. the celeb's birthday, any upcoming movies or movie rumors, etc.). If I'm not making myself clear, just let me know.
