View Full Version : Should I End My Boycott Of The World Series?
From what I here, I may be missing out on some good baseball. Should I do that to myself? I was pissed off because of those damm Yankees getting in again when it was Boston's time (fuck you, Yankees). It would of been a great thing for baseball to have the Cubs and Sox in the series and the hope of that was squashed (fuck you, Yankees!) The anger is fleeting now, but I will be angry as hell if I have to see the Yankees win again though.
What should i do? Game five is on tonight and I am tempted. :(

Watch it!
I also hated seeing the Cubs and Red Sox get eliminated but yesterday's game was exciting (no rain, Clemens getting a standing ovation and props from the Marlins after his last pitch and an extra innings dramatic win).
I don't like the Marlins much so I'm rooting for the Yankees because I do like them and because the Marlins are pissing me off. First they eliminate the Cubs, then we're constantly hearing about their manager's age and Ivan Rodriguez (I won't use his nickname!!!) is annoying as hell.
Besides, there is 2, maybe 3 games left, it'll all be over by Sunday and there is nothing else as exciting on TV right now.
But be prepared, the Yankees will win it in the end.
How dare you root for the Yankees! But I will deal with that in good time. Hopefully you're another someone I can laugh at if the Yanks lose. ;)
Oh...allright! I'll end this pitiful personal boycott (yes, one post convinces me) so I can enjoy this crucial game tonight. If the Yankees win tonight, then I won't watch game 6 though. There's just no way the Marlins could win two in New York, just like they couldn't in Chicago...oh yeah. :D

NO DONT DO IT!!!!
Stick by your original decision! Down with the Yankees! Down with the Marlins! Baseball is over, forget it, just wait until spring training starts.
There is no World Series. There is no World Series. There is no World Series...........
Well, I watched the first inning, then the last three innings of this weak game. But I am happy the Yankees lost. Surely not my watching it will bring the rating numbers up? From waht I hear it's doing decent enough (even though it would be astronomic if the Cubs and Sox were in it). :p

I've never been a Yankee-hater per se, in fact I like a lot of their pitchers (David Wells, Mike Mussina, Jeff Weaver & Jeff Nelson). They don't come close to my love of The Red Sox though. Also, with the Marlins having that back stabber Jeffrey Loria as an owner and all the Pudge and McKeon talk happening, it was a no-brainer for me to root for the Yankees in the World Series matchup.
