Well, it hasn't gone that far. But Ashton can politick like the rest of his Hollywood friends...
KUTCHER GOES POLITICAL
Actor Ashton Kutcher is making strides to re-brand himself with a more serious image -- by co-hosting a political dinner.
The 25-year-old, better known for playing pranks on unsuspecting celebrities on his hit TV show "Punk'd" and appearing in lightweight films such as "Dude, Where's My Car?" will co-host a $1,000-a-plate function for Senator John Edwards (D-North Carolina) on October 29 in Los Angeles.
The unlikely couple have talked by phone and had dinner together.
However, Edwards' press secretary Jennifer Palmieri explains there are stronger common ties between the two, "They have an incredible work ethic and the best hair in their respective fields."
