Halloween's coming up, and besides Psycho and Halloween, Rocky Horror's my favorite movie for the season. It's so rewatchable and just plain fun. Not even a particularily good flick. What do you guys think?

Rocky Horror doesn't really put me in the Halloween spirit, but I respect its oddball tendencies. Dr. Frankenfurter creeped me out as a wee lad. I've even had dreams where he was making sexual advances toward me! What does that say about my psychological make-up?

It has been a long standing tradition in my house to watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show every Halloween. It's just so entertaining, that even the people in my family who hate to rewatch movies will watch it again and again.

Hate it.
Not funny. Not scary. Not sexy.
Songs are sub-par. No plot. No point.
It's useless, really, and if it wasn't for bored teenagers in the 1970s without internet access or anything else to do, we'd be long done with this nonsense.

Hell Yes!
I LOVE this movie! Love the songs! Love the cast!
I think it's sexy in a fetish way, and I went to see it as a play and oh my God, the audience dressed up (including me) and I was drooling over the guys lol.
This is the best play to see with the incredible audiance particpation and it is such a great time! I had so much fun!
I would definately go again!

uh oh, someone who saw it without the audience participation ;-)
my cousin hated it with every fiber of his body because he rented it on video...then I took him to a good showing with a hardcore audience and he loved it and has probably seen it more times than I have now

I agree - it's ALL about the audience participation. I played Columbia in a local stage production of the original play and I have never had so much fun in my entire life. It was a blast. This is a film/play that has some very dedicated fans. We had one couple that went to every one of our Saturday shows, both the 9pm and midnight performances. That equals about 8 shows and over $120.

No we wouldn't. Cult classics have the Feeling. Nothing beats the Feeling.
Btw 'not scary'? Complaining about The Rocky Horror Picture Show not being scary is like complaining about The Godfather not being funny. IT WASN'T MEANT TO BE!!

Never watched it around Halloween, but I do love it. I thought it was odd when they put it on video...

Audience participation is the GREATEST! You cant beat seein a theater full of people dressed as their fave Rocky Horror characters. Most amount of trannies I've seen outside of a gay bar.

Damn straight. She was well-hot in this film, especially the 'Toucha-Toucha-Toucha-Touch me' scene. :p

Rocky Horror Picture Show- 10/10
Absolutely love this movie. The best for subjecting firends to as well. I remember showing it to my friend for the first time and all he and everybody else said was something along the lines of:
"Damn you..."
A TRUE CLASSIC!
Then we watched a Led Zepplin movie... and everybody liked it.

For the past few years I have been watching this film every year on Halloween. It is still fun even though I've seen it numerous times.
